I wouldn’t want to give up too much for Revis, but if the Bucs landed him, I’d be happy, provided he is healthy. So I’m on board too…. I guess. Y’all persuaded me. I still don’t think the Bucs will do it.

I hope the Mayans didn’t make a mistake and really mean 2013 instead of 2012!

It all depends on how his knee tests out and if Atlanta REALLY wants him.

high price tag along with draft pics? bad injury to boot?
I know we have both but since we are about the only team that can afford him Id say no more than a 2nd rounder or 2 3rd rounders, for the jets ,its better than nothing

Agree with Eric and Hawaiian on this one. Revis is isn’t a “one and done” deal. Plenty of space to aquire another good corner.

Which would be 2 more than we have now!

And while we might not be one proBowl CB from the SuperBowl, we may be one away from 6-10.

We sign two good CBs- then we can change our entire plan for the Draft. Now we can Draft that TE we desperately need. And still can get a decent Rookie CB

We may need to sign Revis, just to have one capable CB in our secondary. If we do, it’s our own damn fault! We wasted years trying to build the secondary around Talibum and Jackson- long after it was clear that neither was going to be professional or skilled enough to entrust with that task. As I said repeatly for the last 3 years- we were betting on dead horses

Signing the uber talented Revis to a gigantic contract- is paying up on bad bets

I’d rather draft Mathieu in the 3rd (if there, he may be gone by then) than spend all of that $$ on Revis. JMHO.

Hey Joe, I know Mathieu isnt well liked by many, but have you thought about doing a story on the possibility of us drafting him? Like him or not, the kids got some serious skill. Even I didnt want him until after I saw him blow others away at the combine. Just me, but I wouldnt hesitate to take a chance on him with a 3rd.

I dont think its a matter of cap space with Revis….I think its a matter of how many of those valuable draft picks we have to give up to get him.

Say what you will about DOM, he is very good at working those picks and trading up and down….if anybody can work some magic, it is probably him.

I was told the Revis trade is done.. Its all up to Revis signing his contract with tampa bay.. We are also keeping Eric Wright.. He will be starting next to Revis next year..

Hey didn’t Vincent Jackson work wonders?

If you can get him, do it. Huge upgrade and he’s got a lot of life left. maybe he isn’t the final piece of the puzzle, but he would be a damn important one.

What’s the el cheapo approach got us? Last place every year? Watching playoffs? Super long losing streaks? Nfl records for futility?
