Let's see some good old Ass Whipping put on our opponents this year. A great defense will go a long way to put us in the play-offs.

Schiano is a smart man. He has surrounded hisself around people who no the game. There just seems to be a lot of guys who have won at a high level o. The staff. Sullivan, Sherridan, and Davis are all guys that have been on Super Bowl teams. Not saying they were the masterminds behind it, but the seen and experienced first hand winning at the highest level and knows what has to be done in order to win. Raheem had no Veteran coaches on the team. Everyone was inexperienced at the jobs. Schiano did good putting his staff together. Another good thing about Schiano is they guy doesn't pu up with anything and will admit when he's wrong. He's a straight up kind of guy.

I could have lots of questions, but I'm going to take the pragmatist point of view and say if it works, I'm good with it.

I'm not sure I ever understood the relationship between the D-line coach, the LB coach, and the Front-seven coach - whose methodology is in place and who has last word on training and technique? The Front-seven coach is now Pass Rush Specialist. Was that a demotion? Is it all being dictated by Schiano himself? Some have said after all, it is his defense they're running!

Too many things to say one way or another, so I'll let the results speak for themselves!

Seems everyone wants to write Sheridan off. We did have the best run defense in the league. As for the pass defense, word has leaked of Cooper's inadequacy as a DB coach and they did have some personnel obvious issues there as well. As for the pass rush, Bowers was out a good chunk of the season and we lost Clayborn early. Plus Sheridan was working with a defensive system in which he had not worked before... Thinking all those situations should be improved this year, especially with a DB talent infusion and perhaps another pass-rusher (???)... Sheridan might turn out to be a good D-coordinator.

Was talking to one of our NFL writers last week and he was vey positive about the direction the Bucs are going, he is of the opinion that they are on the move as one of the teams to watch, he's not sure what's going to happen with Josh, but this season will answer that question, much like what happened in Baltimore with Flacco. I asked specificlly about the draft, and more specificlly about taking Ansah over Vacarro or Rhodes if all were there at 13. His opinion was they take Ansah, there is value and depth for both Safety and CB in rounds 2-4.

Sounds like some competition/motivation at every position extends to the coaching staff as well. it's an impressive system when both "management and labor" are held to the same standards. I'm sure its a message that's not lost at One Buc Place.
