Look around the league and one can easily see that all GM’s have their successes and failures in selecting players each Draft. But as “the_buc_realist points out, the proof ultimately lies with the won-loss record. As much as I think Mark Dominik is a bright young man, we will need to see results on the field very soon. The one-time valid excuse of losing premium picks to acquire Jon Gruden has now run its’ course. This is now Mark’s fifth chance to build “his team”. There appears to be enough decent players on the roster to compete. What the team needs now is more “stars” to take the step into the Post-Season and advance. A repeat of the 2012 off-season acquisitions in this Draft might just be enough if the team can remain at full strength.

With Schiano, Davis, & Wannstadt to help Dom this year, we should have another great draft. I hope for some surprises to fall our way, and maybe some team makes a stupid trade with us, we load up on extra picks, and still get our guy?

Report: Alabama’s Dee Milliner to have surgery after combine

Since most believe rounds 1-4 have lot of CBs with value but no real standouts, Dee could very well fall to the Bucs.

He is the only CB I would take at 13… othewise, Id take a TE or DE and get a CB in round 2-3

Milliner probably wont make it, although Ive read where he is going to have shoulder surgery after the combine, so who knows.

Id go DE Werner/Ansah or trade back for extra picks and get Short. Then CB, then DE.

All dependent on what we do in FA though.

thank you for proving my point. the second we got a good coach Dom’s draft picks started panning out. If, as you stated in you article, that is was infact Dom’s draft and not Schiano’s then Dom should get some credit and be recognized as at least a good GM by all the Dom haters. btw none my comments were directed at you, they were directed at some of the people commenting.

Maybe the players that Dom draft like Gerald McCoy haven’t proven anything before this year because before this year we haven’t had an competent coach to get the most out of the players that Dom drafted.

By adding one player, Lavonte David, a rookie, the Bucs went from worst rush defense to the best in one season. Oh, that's right, the Bucs had a new coaching staff this year. Imagine.
