Completion percentage can be very misleading. Keep in mind that Flacco has played like Freeman (meaning throwing the ball down the field) his entire career, while Freeman just did it this year. The eyeball test is all you need to know who is a more accurate passer. Freeman gets hot and he is outstanding, but when he is cold he is literally the worst QB in the league. Please try to argue that.

As for his work ethic, again, I don’t blame you for not believing me. However, perhaps you should google Boomer Esiason and see what he said about Freeman. I wouldn’t believe me either if I were in your shoes. I have a very legit reason for knowing what I know, but I will never say why. There’s a reason for that. I don’t expect you to believe me, but I know the truth. This is not the reason why, but I’ve even witnessed first hand him being the very last one in the building. I was in town for the Atlanta game, and we went to One Buc the next day to check it out. As we were taking pictures by the sign, Freeman came flying around the corner doing about 50 into One Buc. Keep in mind, he was the first player I had seen drive in for at least 15 minutes. He parked in the expectant mothers parking and ran through the museum. When we went back into the museum, the lady said he ran through because he was late for meetings. Perhaps this was a one time thing, but I guarantee you Peyton Manning has never once been the last one in a meeting, especially not the day after a loss. Even the day of the game, he was one of the last 10 players to the stadium.

I agree flacco is better i just believe they are comparable, flacco has a career 59 percent completion percentage. freeman has a 58.5, so spare me the world of difference crap. I have never heard anything negative about freemans work ethic, and i would believe the local news would get the scoop before hawaiin buc.

This is a classic case of where stats don’t tell the whole story. Flacco has never thrown for 4000 yards, but that means very little in the big picture. Bottom line is that he puts up the number and makes the throws when he has to. More accurately, when his team needs him to. Look at what he had done in the postseason, not only this year but every year. He shines in those situations, very similar to Eli Manning. He has excellent accuracy, which even the biggest Josh Freeman supporter can’t possibly say is his strength. Do you really want to argue that Josh is an accurate QB? More accurate than Flacco? Freeman may have a great arm, but that means very little when you are one hopping throws for games at a time (not series at a time, not quarters at a time, but GAMES at at time). He goes in the most ridiculous funks of any QB I’ve ever seen. I don’t care what kind of team you have around you, when you are throwing interception after interception, the blame goes straight to you. I don’t care how old he is, he’s been a starter for nearly 4 years!!! The guys got plenty of starts under his belt, and I’m really sick of that excuse. If you really think he’s comparable to Flacco, think about what would happen if both were free agents today. How many teams would go after Flacco and how many would go after Freeman? What kind of money could each get? I guarantee you every single NFL Executive would have Flacco well ahead of Freeman. Every single one. Not one coach would choose Freeman over Flacco. Not one player in the NFL would rather have Freeman as their QB over Flacco. I know it sounds like I’m trashing him, but I’m really not. I’m just not delusional enough to believe he has done ANYTHING in his career to deserve being mentioned in the same breath as the better QB’s in the league.

And I’m telling you right now, his excellent work ethic is very much exaggerated. I know I’m telling you something without backing it up with any facts, but you’re going to have to trust me on this one. I probably wouldn’t believe me if I were you, but I know what I know. I’ll just leave it at that.

Hawaiin you are one of my favorite posters on this site, but i disagree. flacco is 6’6″ qb that weighs 245 with strong arm, threw for 3817had 22 tds and 10 ints. He has never threw for 4000 yds, and his highest td passes for a season is 25. He makes most of his plays downfield. Freeman 6’6″ 245lbs strong arm makes most of his plays downfield. Last year threw for 4065 ydsand 27 tds and 17 ints. He hs twice threw more than 25 tds in year. Yeah what a dumb comparison.Flacco played on a better team his whole career, Was sanchez good when he went to afc championship two years in a row. Flacco is good but comparing it to lebron and joe johnson is dumb. Flacco is a good comparable to josh freeman. Josh is also 2 years younger.

Truth is, if we won a superbowl next year, people will say it had nothing to do with Freeman.

So now we are comparing him to a Super Bowl MVP QB? Funniest joke I’ve heard in a while. Go ahead and look up Flacco’s stats, since he only the last two years he became a good QB. Let me know where his numbers spiked up. He is the model of consistency, year after year. It’s almost scary how similar his numbers are each season. Completions, completion %, yards, TD, INT’s, and ratings are eerily similar every single year. Freeman literally throws more picks in November than Flacco throws all season. I really wish people wouldn’t just talk out of their arse, but would actually know what they are saying first. It’s very difficult to prove a point if your facts are completely wrong. Please, for all that is right in this world, stop comparing Freeman to QB’s that are just flat out better than him in every single way. Why not compare Lebron James to Joe Johnson while you’re at it. It’s too ridiculous for words, and it needs to stop.

Can we stop with the Josh Freeman to Joe Flacco comparisons it’s not fair… Flacco is a better quarterback… Flacco had the same offense coordinator cam Cameron from 2008 all the way up until one month into the season this year… Harbaugh chose to fire Cameron and replaced him with Jim Caldwell the old head coach of Indy… In that time Flacco made it to the Super Bowl won it and got the MVP honors… We can make excuse after excuse after excuse for Josh Freeman having different Cordinator’s but that sure didn’t seem to affect Joe Flacco going from a system that he was in for almost 4 years and then switching to Jim Caldwell system which we’ve had here in Tampa by the way…

Up until two seasons ago it was the Raven’s defense that got them to the play-offs, 2011 is the season Flacco finally started to play better, hmmm, can’t be because Flacco got himself a stud running back in ’08 and new receivers to work with in 2010 & 2011, all leading up to this last season.
This is all sounding pretty familiar.

I’ve been on record supporting Freeman, but in absolutely no way is he better than Romo. I’d never tell my Cowboy friends that, but we all know its true. Freeman may have more potential, but I’m kind of done with the idea of potential. Ask yourself this: which QB is more accurate? Who has won more games (and a muck better win %). Who does a better job of making something out of nothing? I do realize he makes a lot of stupid mistakes, but were any of you watching Freeman in November and December? Romo has his bad games and his head scratching moments, but he is still far more consistent than Freeman. I’m not saying lets bring in Romo, but I’m not delusional enough to believe Freeman is a better QB RIGHT NOW. I’m shocked that any of you could. I thought I was the biggest homer on this board.

PEWTERPIRATE99- It’s clear you are not a Buc fan, and I’m surprised you parade around like you are. The proofs in the puddin’–” I can’t wait till next year and Josh is still the same, consistantly inconsistant” “I don’t give a damn about his stats or what records he set for the Bucs this year”……Sounds to me that you will NOT be happy if Freeman succeeds, which EVERY Buc fan should want! Say what you want about the guy, I can’t wait myself, for him to show all you Monday morning qb’s that think you know best, and love to bash, that he is a franchise QB and you should be lucky to have him, that is….if you’re a Buc fan!!
