@Stevek – There is a HUGE DIFFERENCE between Schaub and Freeman:

Schaub is the real thing – Freeman is a pretender.

I’d take Schaub over Freeman in a NY minute.

As for Talib – isn’t it amazing how many times he pulls up ‘lame’ in a game? Anyone want to take odds on how long before Billichek cuts him?

A player is only of any value when he is on the field. Between the off season drama, the punched cab drivers, the drug ban, the injuries at the worst times, he is actually no better than average.

A forth round pick was a steal. Who could be unhappy with the way the deal worked out. And don’t think cheat said to himself……darn, we could have been to this game without talib, so what did we accomplish by giving up this draft pick? Nothing. Wow…seems things normally went this way when we had him here.

Not upset about getting a fourth for Talib even though he was our best DB. I don’t trust this team to get the best draft pick in the fourth, we took West Virginia players that barely or if at all saw the field with a highly rated Alphonso Dennard and Vontaze Burfict still available in late rounds. Both of those guys may have had a small character question, but they produced on the Dennard should have been an easy pick after round three, no risk there when he was projected first round for most of the year. Bucs will do well in first three rounds, after that, question mark?

For anyone interested, Walterfootball’s list of ranked FAs is out. On that list, Talib is ranked #3 as a UFA. Note that Sam Shields is a RFA.

And ProFootballFocus has E.J. Biggers rated better than Talib in their free agent rankings.

I know there was a huge huge sigh of relief for some when he pulled
up lame yet again.

For me it just ensured that Dom made a great move. He may be an elite talent but if you can’t stay healthy what’s the point???
