As for Monti, It’s not like the man hasn’t advanced his defense overtime. I don’t think age really matters. It’s obvious others think he’s still got it. He turned down Reid already.

Funny thing is that Rob Ryan isn’t the problem in Dallas. He is a good DC, far better than Rex and Monti is not an upgrade over Ryan. Several years ago Monti woul be but not today. I wish Rob Ryan was our DC. I’d take him in a heartbeat.

Thats when they had Jim Leavitt. That guy was one hell of a head coach. its to bad he let his passion get the best of him when he hit one of his players, otherwise they would still be in contention for a BCS bowl game. I would love to have that guy on our staff even as D coordinator, but for some reason he does not get the credit that he deserves for being a good coach. I dont know why.

I also heard a news report that Monte Kiffin was going to replace Slob Ryan as the Cowboys DC. I’m a huge Monte Kiffin and all that he did for the Bucs, but I have no answer for what happened with his defense at USC. Maybe his time has past. I enjoy laughing at any troubles “America’s Team” has, but seeing 72 year old Monte on the Cowboys side lines will make it difficult to jeer the Cowboys…….wait, no I’ll still hate on the Cowboys, sorry Monte.
