The Rah comparison is exactly what went through my mind as well. It’s pretty much the same exact situation. Old experienced good coach gets fired, and they bring in a positional coach with no/very limited experience as a coordinator.

Hiring Sullivan would be like the Bucs hiring Raheem a couple years ago.

If the Bucs don’t have the sense to hire Chip Kelly, then they need to bring in Norv Turner as OC and assistant Head Coach. They need a field general to lead this team on the field.

The Little General can march around the side lines raging at officials, players, coaching special teams and collecting fines.

If Rod Marinelli can be hired get him, he’s a great coach. Promote Bryan Cox, fire Sheridan and the DB coach.

I’m with you on this one all the way. I think Sulli is definitely an up and comer, but I think he is still a couple years away. Everyone gets promoted to their level of incompetence and that’s when things turn. I think Sulli would be wise to be patient until he is totally chomping at the bit for that job. I don’t see that yet with him and it could ruin his career by jumping the shark so to speak. Whatever happens, I like the guy and wish him the best, but I’m a Buc’s fan and want what’s best for us.

I live in Chicago and would be very surprised if the Bears seriously consider Sullivan. He hardly gets a mention on the local sports talk shows here, in fact it was reported yesterday that Sullivan was the New Orleans OC!
