None of the old Tampa 2 coaches will return to Bucs, Schiano wants a pressure style defense, outside of the front four and Ronde, the old guard was not aggressive.

he is still trying to figure out where to park his car. Way too much on a HC plate with only 1 yr in the league to game plan and call defense signals. He be better served letting someone more qualified plan and call the defense. Maybe he could drive the bus to the airport while he is at it.

Rod Marinelli Rod Marinelli Rod Marinelli with Lovie out in Chi town is there anyword of Marinelli being gone as well. Rod M has endorsements from Sapp Daddy and thats good enough for me, he is a damn good motivator and im pretty sure he was a one point a d line coach and we all agree that is an area we need improvement in. Improved d line play = automatic improved secondary play…..jus sayin!

I thought the defense looked better against Atlanta. They ran fewer blitzes, fewer stunts and games, and played more zone coverage to protect the out-manned corners. Whoever was resposible for that I give credit to.

Not sure the solution is simple. We need a real proven Defensive Coordinator. Lovie Smith is not going to be a defensive coordinator he was a good head coach and will be highly saught after as will Andy Reid. Just not too sure who would be a good defensive coordinator but there are loads of talented linebacker, defensive backs coaches who are aching to give Defensive Coordinator a shot.

It also depends on who we bring in at corner in free agency or the draft. I like Schiano and agree we need to get better in several aspects both on defense and offense. I am excited about the future here too I think we are heading in the right direction.

This could be a good thing. Play calling in the NFL is an art that a lot if people haven’t mastered. Sheridan might be a decent coach, just a bad play caller. If Schiano can use his blitzes more effectively, instead of blitzing every down like Sheridan, this should lead to improvement.
