Vinny was so color blind, he couldn’t dress himself. If you told him to wear the creamsicle jersey instead of white, he couldn’t do it unless he wrote the color on it.

After college Vinny played in one of those all-star games where your team gets a jersey but you wear your college team’s helmet. He threw about 8 picks.

When asked what his favorite color was, he said, “Corduroy.”

Miguel, I think that color-blind stuff is way overstated.
I have thought for years that having Perkins as head coach, OC, & QB coach set back Testaverde’s career greatly.

@Miguel – Come on, Miguel, there is no way you are serious. Vinny wasn’t really colorblind. That was a running joke at the time.

I remember when Ray Perkins drafted Vinny Testeverde. He would make him play golf with him and between shots he would say, “OK Vinny, it’s 3rd and 15, 4th quarter, we’re down by 11 points, we’re on our own 38 yard line and it’s raining lightly. What’s the call?”

Hubert Mizell wrote that Vinny never knew the answer. QB’s used to call their own plays. Luckily for Vinny that changed. One thing that Vinny couldn’t change, he was completely color blind, he couldn’t tell the difference between uniforms. That’s why he hit so many wide open defenders right in the numbers.

If Testeverde played for the Raiders, wearing black, he’d probably be in the Hall of Fame.

Perkins was so stupid, he never even considered that color blindness was a factor. Perkins also never realized that DC’s watched tape and charted tendencies.

Hopefully the late Friday night study will result in good play on Sunday. I think it would be cool to be a fly on the wall for these tests.
