PR, thanks for your response. What I enjoyed about it was that you could replace Christian with another religion and the message was still the same. It is the response that I would hope any person has regarding others’ beliefs.

I was using that phrase in regards to it being used to refer to believers of Christ. I would not consider them feeble minded by any means, just wrong. I would pray for them but who am I to judge? I have close friends who pray to Alah and that advocate their beliefs. I think think their wrong and I witness to them when I get an opportunity but it doesn’t mean I have room to judge them or that I don’t dont have respect for them when they are bold being in their faith or witnissing to me however wrong i think they may be. For me being “feeble-minded” is to go along with what your told without establishing it for yourself or that when times get rough or when the world says otherwise you suddenly have a change in perspective. There are plenty of “feeble-minded” Christins who have gone the majority of their lives just off the word of their parents or whomever without truly establishing a relationship with Christ of their own or that at the first sign of resistance lose the same “faith” they had earlier that morning at church. That to me is a major concern because it ruins the witness of Christ as a body we have on this world. Now my concern for my muslim friends or any nonbeliever is never because I wanna be right about God, it’s all because of what I believe will be the consequences for them in them being wrong. Their salvation, that, I care about. I don’t have respect for someone who just goes around spouting what they believe just for the sake of being right (including Christians) but I do have respect for the man that shares their faith because of conviction and first and foremost because they believe it to be truly beneficial to their fellow man.

I wish more non-Christians came forward with their beliefs like you mentioned PR. That is why I previously mentioned the ‘what-if’ of McCoy and praying to Allah. What if he said that the great Xenu came to him and helped him play great and he wanted to use his professional platform to promote Scientology? I have a feeling the responses here would be a bit different. Would he then be considered feeble-minded to you, as a Christian? Serious question, trying to have an honest discussion.

As for me being “feeble minded” because I have faith in the Christ who is my Saviour. Well, we shall see dear sir. I for one wouldnt want to be on your end if im right. Btw, find for me where in Scripture you see the mention of Santa or the Easter bunny??? Did you seriously just say that???
-McCoy has been given an enormous platform and is using it as any man of faith should use the platform they’ve been given. To glorify God. I for one am moved by men that prove not to be “feeble-minded and that aren’t swallowed up by all that can come with such a huge platform. Stand strong McCoy. I’m grateful for the Derrick Brooks’s, Tebow’s, Dung’s, and yes McCoy’s of the world that aren’t afraid to stand up for what they believe in.

Sorry about the ‘Silence’. Had my priorites all mixed up and I was working and then ate dinner… I did overlook that Ian’s called believers in God ‘feeble minded’ and see where you mean who started what. ‘Youre dumb for believing something different than me’ is still a terrible and unnecessary arguement. Religion has nothing to do with the product on the field. There are Christians, Muslims, Jehovah’s witness, scientologists, non believers etc on the filed at any given time. Better football isn’t played due to what you believe in. Favre, LT, OJ and countless others are examples of that. Players using their beliefs as motivation is fine with me and I would guess Joe, based on the article. One team plays better than the other and a winner and loser are produced. The reason they are in the NFL and why they have played football the majority of their lives is due to physical talent and the hard work they put in. I don’t care what anybody on this site believes in as long as its the Bucs.

A religous arguement doesn’t have a winning side, so let’s get back to Bucs football.
