stevek

Just curious...what makes Joseph so good? He has only had 2 complete seasons his whole career, and one of them he only started 9 games. His last complete one was back in 2009.

He's only had more than 4 inceptions once (6), and had 4 only twice.

I really do not see how he is a step up from Talib or Wright.

So far as CBs, it's not like they didn't draft any. They took Talib, Biggers and Tandy in 3 of the last 4 drafts, along with taking 3 DBs over the last 3 years.

I can't complain about the last draft at all. Yeah, I was hoping to have CB addressed but shoot, Barren, Martin and David with the first 3 picks was fantastic.

They also at least made the effort and went after Wright...along with whoever else we don't know about.

The way I look at it, I figured they couldn't fix everything at once. This team is doing remarkably well considering the holes that need to be filled.

I would like to see DT (Miller's spot) addressed with better quality, CB and OT addressed in the next draft personally.

And I would LOVE to have a competent backup QB in the house, cause if freeman goes down, this team is screwed from all directions.

1) They were referring to that one play, not the entire game. Coverage was actually better than it has been at other times this year.

2) Who says we didn't go after Joseph two years ago? There's no way to know for sure.

Stevek

Before you go ranting like you know what you are talking about, how about you get your facts straight.. During that off season Tampa ACTIVELY pursued Johnathon Joseph and even showed him the money. He declined and went to the more super bowl ready team at the time. That year Tampa went after lots of FA's but who would want to come here when compared to other perennial playoff teams?

You fail to realize not a players chase dollar signs, some actually do care about hoisting the Lombardi trophy..

Although Schiano hit home runs with Sullivan, Bostad, Byner & Cox I believe we're gonna need a new DC and a new DB coach next year. DB coach for sure. These guys are not being coached up as they should and I believe Ron Cooper was way overrated coming out of LSU. LSU still has a top-20 pass defense this year even without Cooper. Compare that to Wisconsin's loss of Bostad...they went from a dominating o-line to a horrible one in just a single season without him. I believe Cooper is part of the problem here.

McBuc,

Joseph would have "wanted" or "considered" to come to Tamap Bay, if our greedy owners "showed him the money"...

Why do we overpay for a moron CB with Talib size problems, and half the talent?

Why did we lay an egg two offseasons ago, sign a freaking kicker, and then force our hand to pick up Haynesworth. Our owners need to spend this offseason again, and utilize the salary cap to win some damn games, and win some more talent in the offseason.

Fact: Glazer Boys like soccer more, and they are more vested in it. I can't be mad at that, but they should have still stepped it up over the last 9 years.

There used to be a waiting list for season tickets, but since they turned their backs on their responsiblity as owners, we can't sell out.

CB Jonathan Joseph should've atleast received communication about coming here back before 2011. Rememeer, we were once 10-6, and tie breakered out of the playoffs. Who is to say if we utilized more than 55% of the salary cap, that we have the talent to make the playoffs?

I am a buc fan through and through but I don't think this will be the week that our back end gets right. Our backup CB's are playing their hearts out but they are over matched in a relatively new system while going against a well-oiled machine with a coach on the field and 2 great tackles.

This week, no pressure on Payton = loss and possibly an embarrassing one at that. i'll be there tho, rooting our Buc's on and hoping for best. GO BUCS
