not sure if you actually read some of the comments on some of these “morning news” articles you post, and i hope i’m not off base speaking about one, as i assume that this is the space for it:

On the post about Chip Kelly, user ‘inadvertant_whistle’ brings up what could be a VERY interesting point:

Chip Kelly is more likely to go to Auburn than he is to the NFL in my opinion. The only thing standing between respect for Kelly’s style of ball is the SEC defenses, and he’s only going to be playing against SEC defenses if he is in the SEC.

My opinion is that Chip Kelly wants to have a reputation as being an innovator, and I think he has done all he can in the Pac 12. I don’t think he has the philosophy to go the NFL yet. Only the SEC and coaching in it would give him that in my opinion.

I hope Kelly stays, but he is an East coaster, and status and R-E-S-P-E-C-T is more a mindset of the east coast than it is on the West coast where you tend to evaluate people on who they are personally. I say you are right to say Kelly bolts, but he doesn’t bolt for the NFL, he bolts for the SEC. Yes, a strange angle in my opinion, but if I understand what motivates Chip Kelly I think that I have hit closer to the truth than what has been written by Canzano. We’ll see.

Considering that the SEC is wilding thought of to have the best defense in the college football, why wouldn’t he want to try his hands at seeing how he can implements his style of offense into a conferense that is known for their defense? It’s just like putting your resume on display to the nation. They will see first hand experience every week how you fare.
