and yet people were walking around the stadium looking to buy tickets-but they wont walk up to the ticket window to buy them full price. Face it, people are used to getting tickets on the cheap. Talked to a guy today that said he watched it on his computer on one of those funny websites. Tampa Bay has adjusted to the blackouts.
Im glad the Glazers dont buy the remaining tickets like all the other owners do. Lets earn our right to watch the game on TV. As an eight year season ticket holder (paying full price), I enjoy watching my Bucs every week. Until the rest of the Bay feels that way, then games will be blacked out.

JOE here,

@MAC - You can be in denial all you want, but the local economy is better now than it was two years ago. And nothing Joe wrote said all games should sell out. Don't make stuff up and use it to trash Joe. That's a great way to get booted.

The stock market is up significantly since the second half of 2010, which helps a huge percentage of the local economy, and unemployment also is improved significantly from that time. There's also far more stabalization in the local housing market. Plus you can combine that with a drop in Bucs ticket prices.

Again, you can pretend those factors aren't real all you want. They don't help the people who are hurting, but they still exist.

Andrew:

I know premiums cant work against us, but can they work FOR us?

Sans a complete sellout of the stadium, no.

Once again, the 85 percent plateau to lift a TV blackout is for non-premium seats. Club seats are premium seats.

AK, I agree, someone needs a NEW BEAN COUNTER in Tampa.

There was easily 60,000 there, and it was the most attendance this year, more than the Saints.

I'm not just talking about club seats. They started this fuzzy math crap last week and it continued. Somebody can not COUNT!!!

You look to the east side and see some empty seats, not many, but look down around the north and south endzone party areas and it is packed.

I get the sneaky suspicion that someone just didn't want the game televised. I don't know what the benefit of that is, but quit bashing BUC FANS! They showed up in force yesterday.

Of course, we had to watch the most one sided officiating all season, and refs that clearly should have been wearing Falcon jerseys, or bet on the game, or just turn a blind eye if there is a penalty that could go the Bucs' way. One offensive PI call all day that was so blatant, it could be seen on a different channel with a blacked out screen.

All refs suck. I'm sick of those clowns stealing games from us constanty.

Bring back the Scabs please. These guys suck balls.

The economy may seem a little bit better now than last year nationally, but jury-rigging the economic numbers and artificially pumping up the stock market hasn't brought my industry back. I'm still struggling just as much as I was last year (and the year before that, etc.) and our local economy is in roughly the same shape and one of the worst in the country.
