We’ve lost a few games playing single safety. Especially against the Giants and Falcons. Watching the replay of the Julio Jones TD, Ronde was just coasting over like he assumed LJ was gonna make the play. Had he come over to break up of the play like most safeties that would not have been a TD.

We need to stop playing one safety high. It’s killing our playoff chances. Great defenses like the Niners and Giants never play one safety high. They always play two safeties deep to prevent big plays. And their defenses are much better than ours and still don’t take chances like that.

Seriously, people forget that sports are a form of entertainment for fans. The most entertaining is when your team wins, while the least is when they lose… however, there are levels of both. Last year, we didn’t just lose, we got blown out. That was in no way, shape or form entertaining to any fan of this team. This year, we are winning games and losing games that are close with the potential to win (I can think of the Giants, Skins, Saints, and Falcons in which we had the lead fairly late in those games, and a few of those flip-flopped scores a couple times as well). Those are all entertaining to watch, although disappointing to lose. Basically, this team is entertaining me, and I’m happy. I like being entertained. I’d love to be entertained in January and February too, but August through December is pretty good…

For crying out loud. Some of you people I swear. Actually..Being close DOES matter. If the Bucs lost 37-0 then that would be a little effing disturbing don’t you think? This is a process. They are playing strong against the better teams ,and are tremendously improved. I don’t think some of you would be happy even if they were 11-0. The REALITY is you can’t perfectly mold a team into what you want it to be in just one offseason. The REALITY is that they are an offseason or two away. Holy cow, hide the knives if they lose to Denver next week and fall to 6-6.

its no secret we need to change so many stuffs on the D, Bill Sheridan has not impressed me at all, sure we are great on Rush but today when the game matters even rush D failed…

Consider the state of things he has to deal with. First, the Dline is decimated. Second, Talib’s most recent suspension and trade. Then Wright being injured. Then Wright being accused of earning a suspension. Clayborn toast…it goes on and on.

On the other hand, the defense is playing like the defense of old did early on. How can you NOT be impressed?

We are soooooooo much further along than I thought we’d be at this time. We can play with anybody and believe me the wins will come. This team is going to dominate this division probably starting next year. Just a few pieces left to the puzzle. Got to remember we’re doing all this with two pro bowl guards missing too.

He’ll of a season so far. A good dtaft and two vet additions on defence next year we will be unstopable .sheiano. may have a secondary coaching change to make as well but the the team looms and nfc is on notice

Gotta concur. The only thing that matters is the W or the L. The details of the games that you lost by 1 point or 20 points are inconsequential when your season is over and you are watching the playoffs from your livingroom couch.

Bucs still haven’t beaten a team with a winning record besides the overrated Vikings (now 6-5). When people say the Bucs could have nine or ten wins right now they’re being way too optimistic. Your record says exactly who you are, and the Bucs are not better than a 6-5 team right now. That’s just the way it is at this point. Maybe next year we’ll see ten wins. Not this year, though.

When you look at all of their losses, You realize the Bucs could easily have a 9-2 or 10-1 record right now?? That is what’s heartbreaking about this season so far.
