The reason I come here, is because this is a perfect model for sports reporting. This is the only place I read Bucs info (other than Box Scores). To be fair, this a comment section on a blog. I post whatever I feel, I am not trying to be a writer. My point is, at least 85% of all reporters and media are Biased, so in reality they are Liars. They do so with intent.

The entire World took the word of a Reporter with Zero proof. Why? It is because for some reason they are trusted. Most people not in your world, cannot name reporters that have had intense and prolonged media attention to their wrong doings.

Does anyone remember the reporter(s) who said Warren Sapp failed like 17 drug tests at Miami? 12 for weed and 5 for coke? But we remember that is how he became a Buc.

But whatever, I do understand. I dont really read after I post but I thought I had to say something, I am done. But if you dont want me around, that is cool.

They are the Biggest Liars in the world.

When was the last time you read a Report on a REPORTER getting a DUI? Or how about using Pain Pills Illegally? Or ANYTHING?

Joe was going to leave this alone becauxe it has nothing to do with Wright, but it is such an ignorant, ill-informed comment Joe couldn’t leave it alone.

Good Lord, Chris Thomas was fired over a DUI (happened to have hit a Bucs cheerleader BTW). Nancy Alexander is another one who got front page news for her DUI, then a reporter at FOX 13, and later lost her gig. Joe can’t remember the name of the chick from the St. Pete Times who was fired for commenting on the paper’s site under a fake name posting rude and vulgar remarks about Rhonda Storms.

Todd Wright (not a reporter) got popped for a DUI and made headlines as did the longest-tenured Bucs beat writer made front page news with his DUI.

Hell, a former executive editor of the Tribune got popped for a DUI and she wasn’t employed much longer after that.

To imply “reporters” are liars, you are lumping Joe in that boat. Joe doesn’t care for that.

It really helps sometimes to think before you type.

If you hate “the media” so much that tells Joe you hate this site as well. Maybe you shouldn’t be reading Joe’s stories?

I think the reason Wright is in the clear and Talib got suspended is because they saw Talib as the bad kid and wright as the new kid. He took advice from Talib to take the pills. The NFL knows the Bucs need all the help they can right now to win games and get fans back into the stands. Not only does it look bad for the Bucs that we can’t sell out games but It looks bad for the NFL to not have games on TV’s in local markets. This decision to not suspend wright was more about business than doing the right thing. I forgot to add John thinks every few sentences.. sorry

Why the big push for answers, the matter was addressed at the halfway point of that conversation. If it’s been addressed, if the matter is done, then why dig further? Do they (or we) really need to know “how” it was addressed? Why do we need to know? I don’t need to know any more than it’s been dealt with and he’ll be playing the rest of the year. If only people took as much interest in what our own government does behind closed doors in secrecy as what our celebrities and athletes do, maybe we wouldn’t have a recession and blackouts to deal with….

To Papa Will I can think of 3 off the top of my head.. Bob Hites DUI, Dennis what’s his name the weather guy on ABC Phillips, he was involved in a gambling ring, they had video of him on NBC being taken away in handcuffs. And Chris Hanson, the pedofile buster on NBC. He was busted cheating on his wife with a woman 20 years younger. When something bad happens to TV people it’s news. People just don’t care about print journalists enough to even care much. Probably why Hunter S Thompson mainly stayed a writer! HA
