Trading Talib was a no-brainer. The Bucs were not going to re-sign him as a FA. And getting him off the roster is addition by subtraction. I still find it amazing that the Bucs got a 4th rounder for him while he was in the midst of a 4 game suspension.

Coldfish....it was a rather easy int.- unless being thrown right to him is difficult. Sorry I hurt your feeling...I do believe he's a very good player, just as you perform well at Long John Silver's as the fish mascot.

Colb, I agree with you about him being a great player, and I beleive he will have a hell of a career if he keeps his nose clean. Have you ever worked with that person that was amazing at their job, but they were out sick all the time? That is what the Bucs got with talib. He was always either injured or suspended each year. No matter how good you are, if you are not able to contribute it does not really matter. I am a fan as well, and I hope he pulls his head out of his arse and figures it out. If he does he is in the right place to excel, if he does not Bill will part ways with him. Someone else will pick him up and try again, but for less money.

... and when they say he is the savior of the Patriots secondary, even if he gives up some big plays, but makes those splash plays, he could still be what they need. Those big plays were going to happen without him in there, but at least now they get some excitement out of the position.

It amazes me how many Bucs fans have completely turned their backs on Talib. He misses games bc of stupid decisions, but thats always been his M.O.

To act like Talib betrayed the team by behaving like he has always has is a little silly. The truth is the guy shut down some elite receivers in his career with Tampa and made some huge plays. Remember that INT of Brady he had in London? Easy INTs are a product of being in good position, and Talib knows where to be. What about his blocked punt in Week 1? The guy is a baller.

Granted, he does give up huge plays and has off days, but the rest of the league outside of Tampa see the risk/return on this guy. I'll always be a Talib fan. Sue me.

The Pats will cut him after his first off the field issue. They bring in guys with issues, like Ocho and Randy Moss. Nieht of those guys are still there. The difference is Talib is a team player, so if he can keep his nose clean he will stick and most likely have a nice run of it...if he cannot then he will be headed to the Raiders.

Talib was gift wrapped the interception, but it was an impressive return. He also gave up two touchdown passes that were bombs. One before that play, and one after. Wayne was also open on the pick. He is the same Talib so far.

Sometimes a change of teams is exactly what a player needs to take him to the next level and become a better player. Talib may become an elite player with the Pats, but that's ok because he certainly wasn't doing that here. His life has been such a train wreck, I wish him the best of luck and hope he continues to turn it around. Even if he becomes a prelinial pro bowler it's still a win-win for both teams.
