I am by nature an optimist, but the last several years as a Bucs fan have tested my resolve. Even in the 10-6 year there were so many flaws that were caused by either a lack of fundamentals or a lack of effort that it was hard to get overly excited about the overall direction of the team.

I know it is easy to be giddy after a comeback win like on Sunday (I flash back to Peyton Manning’s quote about not being able to have an amazing comeback without stinking it up earlier in the game) but my excitement is more centered on the long term direction of this team. Will the Bucs make the playoffs? I have no clue, it is still an uphill battle. Will they make some mistakes along the way that will make me slap my forehead? I would almost guarantee it. Do I think they will bring it every week and give it their all? Absolutely! What more can a fan ask for?
