McDonald had a nagging injury, he got cut because the training staff said “look Dom this isn’t going to be better anytime soon.”

Dom said,”this guy is not good enough to keep around” and voila he got released.

Lewis is still there because he can play at 100%, it might be worse then McDonald’s 75% but that’s his call to make.

Dom’s ego is the only explanation. Lewis can’t even be spun as promising. He’s horrible.

I agree that GM’s don’t like to admit mistakes, but our GM has had no problem doing it. He shipped out Brian Price and Kellen Winslow (essentially a 2nd round pick with the trade). I have no idea how Lewis survives, but I don’t think it’s because Dominik is afraid to admit a mistake. Besides, just because he doesn’t admit to it doesn’t mean everyone doesn’t already know it was a mistake.

Releasing Lewis would be Dominik admiting he mad a bad selection. GM’s normally give their guys chance after chance hoping to be proven right. Lewis won’t be cut until the off season.

myron lewis can’t cover a hole . Why is he still here ?, I get tired of only seeing the back of his jersey as another receiver runs by him for a TD .
