After reading your posts in support of an illegal drug and reviewing the NFL players use of illegal drugs, here is my take … Drug use is rampant in America as a whole, the NFL players reflect that drug use so ignore the rules of the NFL and the laws of the states and municipalities and encourage them to use whatever drug they desire. After all, they are modern day gladiators in the blood sport of football. That way, no one gets suspended and the mindless and lawless will get their weekly fix of football and these arguements over legality will end.

I wanted to remind Dr. Brandon that alcohol was once illegal too. There was this thing called prohibition. It was LEGAL to smoke marijunana during prohibition. The ONLY reason that marijuana was criminalized was due to the powerful alcohol lobbyist at the time took advantage of a uneducated society and congress since cannibas was given the poison category. The alcohol industry didn’t want competition after prohibition was over.

The less our govt restricts us as a society the greater we will feel free.

As it pertains to this issue, he deserves to be suspended for breaking the rules irregardless of whether the rules are logical and in tune with reality and the desires of society. The NFL blackout rule is another fine example of where a rule was applied long ago that is not in tune with the desires of the NFL fan.

Ask yourself this….if it was your son or daughter pulled over with 20 grams of weed (felony) or 20 joints for the less pot smart people on here do you really think 5 yrs in prison is a punishment that matches the crime? Get a grip!

Exactly Hawaiian and just to add to your post, they get paid a TON of money to play a game and they cant do simple things as live a clean life for a few years atleast until they retire… A dam shame.

It really doesn’t matter how you feel about weed, it’s against the rules of the NFL. If you play in the NFL and they tell you that you can’t watch ESPN, then don’t watch ESPN. It’s their rules (and of course the law by the way), so just follow them. They have the right to do that. I try not to judge people one way or the other when it comes to weed and/or alcohol, but at the same time it’s just not intelligent if it’s against the rules and it can hurt the team. Don’t drink and drive, don’t smoke weed, don’t take Adderall, don’t punch cab drivers and most likely you will be just fine. It’s just part of the sacrifices you must make to be a pro athlete, so do it. It’s really not that complicated.

The NFL plies it’s customers with beer by the boat load. It sends thousands of impaired drivers out on to the roads.

Takes in 10′s of millions in advertising from these companies and then protects their interests by prohibiting weed.

That will soon change in the NFL, when the Seahawks and Bronco players exert their rights. The courts will not allow a distinction between weed and beer.

Macdonald’s Restaurants can not force it’s employees to choose Coke over Pepsi.

Wow, so many people on here that have such innate knowledge of why marijuana should be legalized. I’ve seen too many people and heard too many stories of how marijuana has destroyed lives to ever have my opinion swayed by a stranger’s personal preference.

Don’t get me wrong, you guys do what you want, at your own risk of course, but do we have to constantly hear your opinions about how it should be legalized every time some idiot that knows that it is not legal gets busted for it?

I could go into the science behind why marijuana is very harmful for you physically, mentally, and emotionally, but this is a football site.

The point isn’t legalization or a debate about legalization. The point is that Black knew it was illegal and yet he still let Raheem Morris or Tanard Jackson into his car and allowed one (or both) of them to leave their stash in his car without his knowledge.

Everyone is forgetting one thing. Grass is not allowed by the NFL, I don’t care who says you can do it, as long as the NFL says NO, you can’t do, have it, or be around it to get arrested.

If any of us are told we can make (paick a figure) for half a year but you can’t do these things, almost all of us would take the money. These idiots do seem to see this. Now if he is found or pleas guilty, I say cut him on that day. He is hurting a team that is trying to win, He even played great on some plays, but we don’t know when he can play anymore because of this. He knew that two cornerbacks, one suspended and traded, the other in limbo for illegal use of something were in hot water and he is playing more do to that and he does this. Too stupid to stay.

Guilty = Gone
