Also…consider the cost of fighting two wars. Bush put us in compounding interest hell. Obama had to continue to run the country. You may say the bailouts he used hurt us..they didn’t. The auto bailout saved the industry. It was in loan form and it has all been paid back. Ask Ohio if it was a waste of money. Under Bush they were at 10% unemployment. Because of the auto bailout they are now at 7% unemployment. Also…because of the auto bailouts auto manufacturers were required to develop hybrid models like toyota had already done…they all have them now and in 2013 we will see the first 100 mpg auto in the usa.

The bank bailots also helped. Not only have they now been fully paid back…a profit of 14% in interest was made.

To address Miguel and his “41% unemployment rate”, the actual unemployment rate when Obama took office as we were going into the recession was 7.8%.

As I said…we were heading into a recession…so it would have gotten worse no matter who was president.

But as of October the rate is 7.9%…only .1% higher than when he started. It took 4 years to get it back down. Too long?

Romney said he would take 10 years to turn things around if elected. 10 years from now. While Obama’s timeline was off…it is not nearly as long as Romney’s would have been. Coincidently…Romney’s claim would have meant that even if he served 8 years…he would have been out of office for 2 years befor things turned around…past the point of being held accountable.

the average price of a regular gallon of gas at U.S. pumps was $1.85 when Bush was sworn in for his second term in January 2005 and $1.84 when Obama took office in January 2009 on the promise of change, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Adjusting for inflation, prices rose to $2.52 (Bush) and $2.53 (Obama) seven months into their terms, $2.76 and $2.71, respectively, nearly two years in and $3.27 each three years in. This month, gas is $3.85, more than a dime cheaper than at this point during Bush’s second term when adjusted for inflation.

The average, through 45 months in office? Obama: $3.04; Bush’s second term: $2.98.

Wow, almost time for polls to close. No matter if we are Dems or Reps, we are all Americans. Sure was nice to be able to vote my heart and mind without fear or reprisal. I meant consistently high under Bush. Gas did spike at times but it came right down. It was never over $3 a gallon for any length of time and my bet is the avg price during his term was under $2.

Pete…are you on Adderal?? Gas never has been CONSISTENTLY high under Obama. National unemployment is UP. Obama himself told us that the stimulus money would keep it under 5.8%. Wrong again. Obama may be ending the wars but the Middle East is the most unstable place on the planet right now and for the first time in over 40 years an american ambassador got killed on Obama’s watch and he was clueless as to how it happened. Don’t really feel that ‘safe’ with Obama as commander in chief. To me giving Obama another 4 years is like extending Raheem’s contract for 4 years after his 2011 performance. It’s THAT bad. Anyway, I’m hoping America is smarter than they were 4 years ago when they knew nothing about this clown. Now we know plenty and none of it’s good. I’m not for socialism so I’ll just say no to Obama.

Oh.and Bobby..check your facts. Housing is vastly improved in Florida. Gas prices are nowxalmost trippled. Under Obama, gas has never topped $5 per gal. In Florida. Under bush it did 3 times.

Bush, who coincidently was an oil man, had extremely high gas prices until the months leading to the 2008 election.
