Am I concerned about the secondary?? Of course. I have been since the Giants game but as long as we continue to win I’m not going to sulk about it. We’ll get better. Leonard Johnson is going to be a good one and as long as E.J. doesn’t get fried multiple times a game we should get by. I can’t believe you don’t think Bucs fans should be proud of this win. That’s a pretty cut & dry statement. Nothing = the nonexistence of something. The defense stopped Palmer when they had to. We’re the 31st ranked defense in the League for a reason, we’re not very good. They were gassed from the end of the 3rd quarter on but they bowed up and stopped the Raiders when they needed to. There were little to no missed tackles, they shut down the run, and switched up the playcalling on the final drive. What more do you want?

Now, Defense, you continue to knock people out and play the run-fits better than anyone else in the league right now, but the pass-rush is atrocious and it’s exposing our mediocre DBs. That being said, Johnson and Biggers played better than expected…I think it’s the telegraphed, never get to the QB, heavy blitzing that’s hurting. McCoy needs to be able to split a double team once in a while…though it was his inside pressure on Palmer that forced the pick. Sheridan needs some help devising the pass-d.
