Ask Jared Allen Damarcus Ware Jason pierre Paul Will Smith John Ab etc. The guy has been up against some of the best rusher in the league. Holding it down for some years BIG DAWG. at his rate we may get freeman and possibly a WR into the pro bowl, offensive selections are much more stat-line driven. on defense, as another poster mentioned, there are alot of popular LBs who are playing well enough to beat out Foster on the voting front. i think Mason will be featured on several “Pro Bowl” snubs lists as one or two guys go ahead of him on name value. if a guy like urlacher is tired of flying to hawaii, mason may go as an alternate. especially on defense and OL, there is a severe disconnect between who played best in a season and who goes to the pro bowl

It’s going to take a few drop outs, which always happens, for any Bucs to get in Pro Bowl. Not that no Bucs deserve it, it’s just a popularity contest. You guys must’ve forgotten that Clay Matthews, DeMarcus Ware, Patrick Willis, Navarro Bowman, Chad Greenway, Lance Briggs and Urlacher all play Linebacker for NFC. Players, coaches, and fans do not watch all games for every teams, therefore, they will vote for names they recognized even if there are more deserving candidates.

Quincy Black has played pretty well Bucnnole. He’s been in on less snaps, but he has contributed. He’s not great, but he is no longer horrible. And it’s not just Joe and I that believe that, all the experts have been saying that.

I think we’ll probably get 2 or 3 guys in the Pro Bowl, but a lot more guys deserve consideration. A lot is also going to depend on how we finish. If we win 5 or 6 games, we may not get anyone in. Hopefully that won’t happen and I’ll be sneaking back in their hotel and eating pineapple with a bunch of Bucs.

I guess it helps when your coach was a former linebacker because Foster and David have been that good. Then same cannot be said for Black though as he has improved but not enough to warrant the contract he received. That is why I am still holding out hope that we can get Manti Teo, who Im sure has also eaten plenty of pineapples Joe, so that we Black will become expendable. but I agree Joe Foster has been stellar, whether or not its enough to get him to the pro bowl is really irrelevant. It would be nice, but improbable.
