Booby, sorry if I made you cry out loud. I don’t agree with what these 2 bozos did. I just don’t think NFL punishments always fit the crimes against the NFLstappo. Pot is as illegal as any pill, yet some Lions were only suspended 2 games for that. Illegal is illegal as you say, but the punishments should be the same. Then you have all the other crimes punishable by Roger GODell and many like DUI only get a 1 or game suspension. I think a DUI is far worse than a pill, because it puts innocent lives at risk other than the offender. I am all for proper gun use and CCW but Rolando McClain was charged and convicted, still hasn’t served any suspension, also not self defense.

Common sense says that punishments should fit the crimes, and in my mind these pill popping 4 games is unjust for a first offense, especially in Wright’s case. Talib on the other hand is a repeat offender of misconduct and the 4 games makes sense with him.

Wright could have raped someone, shot at someone, run from the law, smoked weed while driving drunk and still only merit a 4 game suspension based on history. And still the Saints haven’t served any suspensions and will no doubt have them reduced or wiped clean by fighting so vigorously.

All sorts of drugs are ‘legal with a script’ for crying out loud. That’s a weak argument. If it had been oxycodone or morphine sulfate would that have been OK too because those drugs are also ‘legal with a script’?? It’s a banned substance…period.

Didn’t Big Ben get a 4 game suspension for what he did to those girls? The Saints players haven’t served any suspensions yet. Will Smith only got 4 games for Bounty Injuries. DUI suspensions only net a game or 2. Look at all the Lion’s problems with weed and getting busted. If they possessed it, you know they smoked it, but they were only getting 2 games.

I don’t agree with what Wright did, it was stupid, but you’re talking about a drug that is legal with a script. I think a 4 game suspension is too stiff. Wright should appeal, then file a lawsuit, whine publicly, and fight it tooth and nail.

The Saints have done this repeatedly and win every time. Not their coaches but the players do.

Players are idiots, but this is really stupid, especially in comparison to all the crap the Lions pulled.

They have to get a corner before the deadline!!! Get dallas on the phone asap and give them what they want for Jenkins! They should also take a shot at DRC. I believe he’s in the last year of his contract and im sure philly would be willing to part with him for the right price….and it doesn’t hurt he’s from the area!

Maybe Wright was the one that gave it to Talib. Coach Shiano is putting so much pressure on these guys to walk the line learn the plays no mistakes. That type of drug helps you focus and pay attention greatly. No doubt Coach S hiano new about Wrights suspension also. That’s why he was so quick to say Talib would be back during one of his past press conferences.

Coach Schiano and Dominik have got to be utterly sick over this. It’s hard enough to build a winning franchise with a new system, personnel, and first year on the job without dealing with these distractions. I knew when the Buc’s signed Wright that he’d bring his baggage to Tampa. In fact, I wouldn’t put it past Wright to have been the one to give the drug to Talib. There’s something to be said when your former team (the Lions) didn’t offer to resign Wright, one of it’s better CB’s from the previous year. Hopefully he appeals, so we can get through the Raider game.

I can guaranty that there are more Adderall suspensions coming in the future. At least 3 or 4.

Talib suspiciously announced dropping his appeal the afternoon before the Chiefs game (game #5). If Wright drops his appeal before the Raider’s (game #8) game, is he just trying to come back before the Broncos (game #12) and Peyton Manning? Is there going to be another Buc dropping his appeal on Saturday? Will we learn of another suspension(s) every week until week 12?

I wish one of the local sports media types would simply ask the Little General or the Rockstar if there are more suspensions coming down the pike. How many more? Are the suspensions concentrated in the defensive backfield or more widespread? Who handed out the pills?

I guess I’m just naturally suspicious about everything. If you guys want to really see something crazy but off topic, check this out. It affects us all. Conspiracy, murder, corruption, and politics, Oh my!
