we can't play man press because we have zero corners that can press and stay with their man. I'm praying that Bowers will be healthy and provide consistent QB pressure and sacks. Brees won't even have 2 wash his jersey. It's clean and ready 4 tha next game

I think some of it has to do with the scheme, I mean if your playing soft coverage allowing the under routes to take place you are going to get beat. The secondary never did any bump coverage to throw off many of the timing routes New Orleans, the Giants, and even to a certain extent the Panthers ran in prior weeks. The corners need to do a better job of playing inside and allowing the safeties to do their job and protect them on the outside.

This game was going to be win or lost by our defensive line. They made zero plays on the pass rush. I think a lot of it has to do with the amount of snaps these guys are taking. McCoy and Bennett are in there for a lot of plays.

Seriously, this defense will show its face next year with Clayborn and bowers back. Until then we just have to deal with getting killed in the passing game. This won't be the last time this happens this year.

Did Drew Brees even get knocked down today?

That picture of him running off the field tells the story. White jersey is completely clean. What a disgrace.

Re-post: The loss of Clayborn has affected this line more than we initially thought it would. With no one for the opposing OL to worry about on that side they can devote more resources to McCoy and Bennett, which they are definitely doing. We really need Bowers back as soon as he’s cleared to go or this trend will continue. Johnson and Te’o-Neisheim simply aren’t good enough to gameplan for or to worry about.
