He's the coffin nail. That's how to use him. They said they were figuring that out. Excellent conclusion. You know, on that first Freeman pick, Doug got pushed back and pancaked into Freeman by a defensive tackle. I say Blount holds his ground a little better in that situation. His vision in both areas, blocking and running, does look much better. Mad props to these guys for coaching so many of these kids up who we all know are good.

I also agree Blount needs more carries, and I highly suspect he will. The coaches are smarter than us, and he has earned himself more carries. That being said, I think one great thing about the light work he's received so far is that he is going to be incredibly fresh for the stretch run. As the season progresses, defenses are beat up, sore, and tired. It gets harder and harder to get out of bed everyday as the season moves on. Now you have to play against a fresh Legarette Blount, who's ready to run you over. I suspect that wouldn't be a good thing for opposing defenses.

Giving #27 the ball historically equates to winning. That cannot be disproved. Coach is all out of excuses. He catches well, he's started blocking well, and he is running well. The fans love him and the team loves him.

I also noticed him pass blocking on several occasions. Pass blocking well, I might add. Make that man a starter and give him a new contract!

I used to think he needed to stay far away from Talib, because he had that potential of that mentality, but I am so proud that he has broken away from that stigma and is nothing like Talib now, he is truly a very coachable young man and I'm glad he's got Coach's support! He's still a beast!
