Coughlin's ability to make that change is the reason they are SB Champs LostPlaybook. I say Schiano and The Dom have their "Bell Cow". This is not to say David Wilson with proper coaching and some experience will not be the go to guy in NY. I also believe Doug Martin has the goods to produce in Tampa. Just not as easy to transition from college as some make it seem.

Should be more of a 60/40 type of deal with Blount being the finisher, that would be the ideal situation. I see no reason why they cant compliment one another. Lets even get some plays where they both are on the field.

I wouldn't hold my breath for too long on this Blount debacle. If they couldn't see what needed to happen after the first two weeks then I highly doubt two more weeks of the same would do anything to convince them. At 1-3 there really is no more room for error, so here's hoping that desperation will force them to make a change.

Schiano's stubbornness and stupidity will stunt tha teams growth. I'd be very satisfied with Blount being tha "bell cow", Martin playing a change of pace/3rd down back with Ware coming in for occasional relief. At least Blount can break arm tackles and make yards 4 himself.

I don't know what it is about Blount, but we need to see him more. He's proven in the NFL and has had success. Martin needs to be the 3rd downback for right now and let Blount pound it in the 1st half. They say Blount's so one dimensional, but I see that as false. One he can catch, so you can throw him screens and they even had him line up in the slot in the first preseason game and he made a nice catch if i'm not mistaken. Two him in on some PA would be nice seeing as everyone thinks he's running when he's in we should be able to get off a couple deep passes.

There is this attitude with somewhat established players that a) the film on them should ample proof that they can perform and b)new coaches automatically want their own guys regardless of what they have put on film. It's really bizarre because the NFL is a league that for the majority of players, constantly requires proof that you are worth keeping around and for the amount of money these guys make, as well as their alternative career options (which are generally none), you would think they would have a "go getter" attitude but instead they allow themselves to buy into what their facebook friends, twitter followers, and agent tell them. Everybody sympathizes with them when they need to be told to suck it up and prove yourself again.

The unfortunate part for Blount is he already had "character" issues coming into the league and for some "reason" he is a constant discussion of "better practices" yet rarely plays. These guys believe that the grass is greener else where and their game tape will ultimately land them a new gig, the reality is teams are less likely to sink major bucks into guys that quickly disengage when things dont go their way. Except in the elite cases, the player must realize they have to conform to the league, its not the other way around.
