Ya, mine was in my neck, hurt like crap. Didn’t last more than a few weeks though. A stinger doesn’t really explain his unusual dance after that run to me but anyways…

Yeah, I never played football, but I got a stinger once playing basketball (I nailed my shoulder on another player’s shoulder setting a pick). It was unlike anything I’d ever experienced before – I couldn’t move my arm, it was numb and paralyzed for about half an hour, then as I started to get feeling back I couldn’t lift it up high enough to shoot the damn ball.

And I imagine that’s nothing compared to a football stinger.

Stingers hurt like a bitch, had one when I played in HS and it really was debilitating. Goes away after a while but the pain that shoots through your body when they get aggravated is excruciating.

Update on L. Blount: His injury has been diagnosed as a stinger. GM Mark Dominik says Blount is fine & will be available to practice Thurs.

I’m glad Schiano came out and said something about Blounts attitude. I have never been on the Blount hate wagon and I think he’s been nothing but good for the team. I haven’t heard of any attitude problems with the guy since he came to the franchise and have been a little annoyed by some media and some fans when they call into question his attitude without any real reason to. Also I just feel the trade talk is kind of baseless seeing as though he hasn’t had amazing stats and he just had a neck and back MRI. Not much trade value if you ask me but everyday I see new speculation about him not being in Tampa for long. I hope we keep him because I believe he is a good running back and adds another threat for the Bucs.
