Sapp would knock them down and then do a belly flop on them. The NFL made a rule to stop him. They have several Sapp rules on the books.

I agree that Cam is tough to bring down. But do not cut the qbkilla short. He had to go up against Randall Cunningham, Michael Vick, Daunte Culpepper, Donnovan McNabb; and occasionally Steve Young & Steve McNair. He didn’t have it that easy.

Normally Sapps comments are annoying. I have to say I don’t mind Sapp pushing GMC for greatness. I think Sapp realizes that GMC needs a chip on his shoulder, some nasty. Whatever you want to call it and he trying to help manufacture some edge.

Pete is convinced the hit was illegal and — despite photographic and video evidence, not to mention when the officials blew the whistle and where the ball was spotted — that Barron clobbered Smith because Smith was out of bounds some 10 yards upfield, and thus got away with a personal foul.

Just curious, you saying you feel he’ll be fined for that hit on Smith? I’m thinking that there was no penalty & will be no fine cause it was a legal hit. Smith was esentially a running back at that point, as opposed to a ‘defenseless receivor’. Not really too sure, mind you, just an opinion. Still, it was a whale of a hit, wasn’t it.
