If that’s conventional wisdom, how come I’ve never heard it? It’s because you just made it up. For your own reference, conventional wisdom states that games are won Monday through Saturday. Nice try though. And generally, it is said that games are won in the fourth quarter. If you are looking for more cliches, you can also use “defense wins championships”. But you can’t just make up your own and call it “conventional wisdom”. You can, however, use “unconventional wisdom”, or “stupid sh!t that I just made up to look smart”.
