guys why don’t you let the legal process play out and then react? Both Mike Willams and Talib were pretty much dogged by the majority of posters on this site beofre the process played out, lets try to keep that in mind. It seems like if it’s true it was a horrible mistake.

Obviously felony DUI is a serious offense. IMO ANY DUI is a serious offense.
People DIE because of this totally preventable CRIME and there’s no excuse for it.

Having typed that, it’s been a day now and I’ve calmed down to where I can let it go, let Coach Schiano and the Buccaneers handle it as the information comes in.

In my book, DUI SHOULD be a felony. That being said, no way you cut him when Talib wasn’t cut for firing a gun.

It’s a felony in Florida if there is serious bodily injury….meaning a substantial risk of death. This one wouldn’t qualify here.

I’m pretty sure DUI with bodily injury is a felony most places. It should be.

Id like to drop him right here and now but what happens if one of our other guys slips down the road and gets popped for something similar? What if Freeman has a few drinks at dinner? I’m sure he can function fine but what if he happens to get pulled over and admit to drinking, but refuse testing? We have to find a punishment suitable that can be set for future incidents regardless of the player’s stature. I’m for the 2 game suspension. I can’t imagine Goodell coming down worse than that for a first offense.
