I may have missed something and please correct me if I have. But he was charged because he refused to take a field sobriety test and therefore the Police must book him with this charge no matter how much alcohol was in his system. Is it possible that he was tested upon going to jail? Or can he fight this on the fact that there is no physical evidence?

More WILL be revealed and I am prone to trusting Schiano.
This is a disappointment and I do not understand why it keeps happening to people who can well afford to be driven again and again and again.
I do NOT like the Lion connection either.

Not that this changes the situation, excuses Wright’s alleged douchebaggery, but as a native of LA, I had to look up Georgia Street on google maps. Georgia Street and James M Wood Blvd never intersect so I’m guessing the spokesperson misspoke.

Georgia Street is a tiny street south of the 110/10 interchange which is non-continuous, and starts again north of Venice Blvd for about 200 yards until it becomes Convention Center Drive (which also splits into different streets). The whole street spans about 4 blocks.

James M Wood Blvd is about 1.5 miles north of the end of Georgia Street.

Yeah, I gotcha. I highly doubt there was a clause in his contract, since he really hasn’t had any off the field problems. Again, charges were dropped in the USC incident, and none of us know what really happened. To pretend as if we do is way too Thomas-like for my taste. Another reality is that we are still fairly thin at the CB position, especially if Talib gets any sort of a suspension (which I still don’t think he will but you never know with the warden). Although he may not be great, he’s still probably the second best CB we have on the team (since Ronde’s no longer a CB). It’s tough to get rid of a starter on a position that we are not very deep at. I wouldn’t cry if we cut him either, but I probably would cry if we cut him and his replacement (we all know who that will be) gets torched for 150 yards per game.

After no problem letting Talib, or rah or THC or Winslow, going to any division or non-division opponent. Talib will reoffend and that will hurt someone else, not to mention that Talib hasn’t been very good as if late.

I wouldn’t contractually guarantee Talib free dry cleaning.

I know that may be the reality, but maybe there WAS a clause in there concerning DRIVING DRUNK.
This guy has a history, is not near an All Pro and could be a distraction.
I admit to being rather angry about this and you’re probably right but I would not be at all disappointed if they DID cut him. Unbelievable,

He’s got too much guaranteed money to be cut. This is a business, and good business men don’t throw away money like that. I’m just as disappointed as the next man and believe he should be and will be punished, but he’s not going to get cut.
