The contract is also an asset of the club. When a coach has a tizzy because a grown man doesn’t toe the line, you simply can not just start dumping contracts.

A bad coach, like Gruden or Wyche, puts a player in the doghouse where he will no longer perform for the coach or the team. Wyche wouldn’t even speak to his highest draft pick and starting QB. Gruden was famous for his tiffs with his highest paid free agent receiver and other key personnel.

If you suggest this is the best way to coach is by not communicating, I disagree. It was the downfall of previous regimes and could bring down the New Schiano Order as well.

Not only will he loose his players, he’s gonna loose a lot of fans if this streak turns into 14 games. He’ll be going into the bye with folks clamoring about how we could end up breaking OUR OWN 0-26 streak.

Consistant improvement is all I want to see and that may be enough for the players too. Besides, if they bail out on a second coach in a row, get rid of the players this time.
