On the topic of blackouts…

…now that the Glazers are spending…anyone think they might “assist” in avoiding blackouts this year?

I’ve always felt they should at least buy out the tickets for the home opener if it isn’t sold out. That’s probably the most important to increasing sales.

They said from the start that they knew the “plan” would make them unpopular with the fans at first. In a way, Raheem’s tenure is similar to Sam W.’s tenure…drafted the nucleus and then brought in a more knowledgeable coach and free agents.

If you study Bucs history…it’s pretty much exactly like the last era of Bucs was built. Almost a mirror image. Sam was a losing coach as well. Dungy was brought in after the nucleus was drafted.

I am sure that they “planned” to hire and employ a hack coach for 3 years who was all “lip service” so that we could be serial cellar dwellers and go 17-31 while killing the fan base so that we have endless blackouts.

Its a paid for contract for five years but it really is a 3 year deal and pay you for 2 years for golfing if you dont workout.

If Schiano sticks to “the plan” and his own plan, this team will be competitive every year and he will flourish with the team. Accountability is the key ingredient. There was none the last few years. We have to start emphasizing character and avoiding those with off-field problems before they become our problem. I don’t care how this court proceeding goes, Talib needs to go. His skills aren’t so special that you swallow your pride and allow him to infect the other players. I don’t see a big beef with Winslow but the minute he opens up his trap, he needs to be corrected. If he doesn’t respond, good-bye. Again, not a top 5 TE we are talking here. We need leaders that lead by example. You’re in the wrong place if you don’t intend to comply. ACCOUNTABILITY
