I don’t get them being blocked.

I know they blocked the LB coach one year but that was because most their staff was just gutted, they wanted to have some stability.

Kiffin was never blocked for a HC coach as far as I remember, plus I didn’t think you could do that.

McNulty I understand, unfortunately. Alot of people have him pegged as the next good OC, so AZ wanted to keep him.

Anyway, if they end up with Shoop… so be it. I don’t know him.
I hope they got Butch Davis lined up at DC, that tie in would make sense.

Besides, it is looking like they are going towards a pound the rock offense with short passes and trying to get strong on defense.
Fine with me as long as they take their shots downfield.

If you watch NE, they are a short passing team who tries to run some and then takes the occasional shot.

I think Florio misses a greater point though. The Bucs job is just not very appealing to a college coach who is in a comfortable place making decent money. For the past few years the Glazers have shown that they are not interested in spending the money it takes to win – whether it be on a coaching staff or players. Now, whether that’s technically true or not doesn’t matter. It’s the perception that this is a “cheap” franchise. College head coaches make VERY good money, and have pretty good job security. I think that among coaches, Mark Dominik has a terrible reputation. People who know football know that Dominik should have been fired as well, and at best he won’t be around much longer. It’s not a pretty situation.
