The Asst coach is an emeritus recognition – it is a matrixed job with no real authority to tell OCs or DCs what to do if the HC is temporarily out. The QB coach reports to the OC, if the coach misses a week because of chest pains, the QB coach becomes the OCs boss. Gimme a break!
