Nice to read an article that hits the nail on the head.This coaching staff had no clue on either side of the ball.Let’s hope the Glazers get it right this time.

You want to know why we were so terrible? The coaches didn’t give the players a chance.

Sure, they tackled terribly. But that got worse and worse as the season went on as the players realized they were on a sinking ship.

Everyone saying we have no talent on this team is wrong. In today’s NFL talent only gets you so far.

It’s coaching that makes the difference in this league. That’s how a coach like Harbaugh can take over an average team and make them into one with a bye.

And it can happen here, if we only had some decent coaches.

I felt the article is weeks late…

That being said. Im ready for ANY coach that can come in and light a fire in the arse of the team. Bring in who you want as long as they bring a quality OC, DC and QB coach.

Lets get it on!!!

Great column Jeff. Really helps put into perspective just how much the coaching sucked and how it really trickled down.

Seems like any new face will be an upgrade, as long as they are competent.

I’m done with autopsies and post mortems. Hire one of these codgers and let’s get on with it. I don’t have a preference as long as it’s not Childress! If the new coach wins, I’m wave my arms in support no matter how old he is. If he loses, like everybody else, I’m going to make a lot of awful bad old folks jokes!

And along with Kelly, how about we interview Billick, Zimmer, and Clements (for OC maybe)? I’ll support the next coach until he proves otherwise, but it’s foolish to not interview some very smart people. I sure hope we hear about more interviews lined up. So far, it’s unimpressive on the surface.
