It looked helmet to helmet at the game, but when I watched the game this morning it looked like he hit with his shoulder first.

Even Ochocinco gave props to Foster for the hit, saying that’s the way the game should be played, and he’d even pay the fine if he gets one…

Not sure what everyone else was watching. The replay with the angle from downfield sure looked helmet-to-helmet.

The team is right, though — Foster can’t let it get to him and has to keep playing with that same intensity. He just got unlucky because Ochocinco’s helmet came down just as Foster was coming in.

It looked perfect to me. He met the WR, with his shoulder at the point of the ball. The ball happened to be near the WR’s head, but it did not look like a head-to head in anyway.

At some point they have got to say: look, it is football, there are risks, otherwise take the pads off and play flag football.

it is getting ridiculous.

Lynch has come a long way since calling the NFL hypocrites for penalizing big hits, then releasing DVD’s of the NFL’s biggest hits. Which I agree with him on. But he seems not to knock this play and gives an opinoin of both sides.

The hit didn’t look helmet to helmet, its not Foster’s fault that the receiver was defenseless, Brady led him into that. I guess all you have to do is throw in the middle and it turns into 2-hand touch.

For what it’s worth, Barrett Ruud has never hit anything that hard in his life. That’s the first thing I thought when I saw that.

Hey goodell just put little flags on the sides of the receivers and be done with it you big sissy.

Nice hit. Kid really has some upside in him if he isn’t broke or ruined mentally by the end of his first year.

Should fine Brady for throwing a ball too low and causing the receiver to get into a situation that may result in injury.

FYI, Lynch basically said he didn’t think it was a bad hit, but that it’ll get called every time in today’s NFL.

Hit looked pretty clean to me… Mase keep doin what you do… That’s the way the game is played…. Big Time hit on a big time player…. Don’t change a thing with the intensity… I’m all for protecting players but that was a darn near textbook pop… Wrapping up will minimize the laundry from flying… Coach Cross would be proud of you Patriots are a great team to learn from and we all know you’re going to keep adding knowledge… Tampa fans I’m trying to tell ya, you got a gamer in Mr. Mason Foster… Can I get a witness?PS… I like your take on it Joe… Maybe Ruud fans can breathe a little easier knowing what Mason’s gonna do when he has some time and games under his belt…

Seems to the the NFL owes Foster and the Bucs some money. That was a clean powerful hit that deserves praise. Nice job foster. Thanks NFL for continuing to find ways to ruin this game.
