I still can’t believe we got Da’ Quan Bowers in the 2nd round. He is going to expect 1st or early 2nd money. I bet he is going tricky to get signed.

brad, that august 4th thing has nothing to do with rookies. that has to do with unrestricted fa’s coming in from other teams if i understood correctly.

But they can’t do anything till Aug.4th . I don’t think a priority till then. Meanwhile FA’s being signed left and right.

Getting rookies into camp should be the priority…seems like the bucs are the only team focused on it. These guys are doing things differently and it all makes sense.

Even though these guys get signed, isn’t it true the can’t begin until August 4th. Although this is great to get everyone signed I thought signing guys that are a member of your team was the last priority. In order I thought it was signing your own FA’s, signing undrafted players to fill out roster, going after other teams FA’s and then signing your drafted players which didn’t needed to be completed till the 4th and with a rookie scale should be the least complicated to get done. I’m glad it’s getting done I just thought we had more pressing needs.

Yesterday was so loaded with reports it took me a good while to wade through everything, and then the second page. Lockout over, plenty of news, every fan is excited and the Joe’s are on it. I’m stoked about Da’Quan and can’t wait to see him in action.

Marc Dominik is the man. Signs the first guy overall (Foster) and then signs the first 1st rounder.

Got to love it.

Of course the new CBA is helping the process as it leaves little wiggle room for negotiations, but it is very important for a young team like the Bucs to get these guys in since they will rely so much on them.
