Bill Polian loves drafting players from the Big 10, seems to have worked out ok for every team he has ever been with. The ACC is below the Big 10, 12, and SEC yet they have the second most players in the NFL (next to SEC). If you have talent it dosnt matter what conference you’re in.

You might have a point if you say “equal.” Superior? No way.

The Big XII was way top-heavy. Oklahoma and Texas absolutely solid, strong teams. Nebraska pretty good. Then it drops off big time.

The Big Ten has a lot of OK teams. Ohio State is on Oklahoma and Texas’ level. Then you have a bunch of OK to good teams, on Nebraska’s level.

Sad state of affairs that Purdue has been on the same low rung as Indiana for some time now.

Joe just thought of this: Joe never heard anyone whine about Ryan Kerrigan playing in the Big Ten but all of a sudden it was an issue with Adrian Clayborn? Why exactly?

Hate to break it to you, but this past decade, the Big 12 is superior to the Big Ten. Hell, it probably rivals the SEC, although no one around wants to admit it.

I am curious as to the reaction of several people here who:
1. Love Ruud and defend it by saying Brooks said he is good
2. They did not like the Clayborne pick
3. But now Brooks says that is good.

Anyway, like with Freeman and McCoy, give them time and be patient and see what they actuall do before hating on them

If they are bitching abou a big ten pick, what about Josh Freeman coming from an even lesser conference ?
There is still a lot of talent left for Tampa to pick in the later rounds.
Besides, the Big Ten produces a lot of NFL Players.

It was either Clayborn or Cam Jordan .. Clayborn seems to have some Fire and some Nasty in him so I will wait to see him play to make a judgement ..

.. Th But we here the Ravens and Jets mentioned often as teams the Bucs copy or want to be like .. This pick is a step in that direction ..

He looks like a Steve White type of DE .. Tough with skills

Bowers falling all the way out of the first meant that medically it was too big of a risk, the only other DE option was Jordan who only had 5 more tackles and 2 more sacks (say what you want but he didn’t see nearly the double teams Clayborn did) They went with their guy, and if he can be anything like he was in 09, he will be a force…even if we see the guy from 2010 he is still a disruptive guy who is a big upgrade over Teen Wolf and a bunch of throw aways.
