Actually think Lynch will win our Free Safety spot. He’s a great ball hawk. Think Grimm will compete , and win, our starting Strong safety spot. But there might be a league rule against two white safeties starting together, I’ll have to read up and see, lol

I really think we need to resign Jermaine Phillips. He knows our system, he’s a veteran with experience, and it seems like he’s healthy again having a played through a season in the UFL. Even if he’s not a starter, we need depth at the position. Corey Lynch could start playing poorly also.

I found a Lynch highlight reel from his college days on youtube. I saw some phenominal instincts. He could be really fun to watch out there.

I too like Grimm and am very interested to see what Lynch can bring. However, I disagree mightily about Jones. He is almost invisible back there. Almost no tackles and no passes defensed. We need two safeties in the draft. No guarantee that Grimm will ever play again. Lower leg injuries can be catastrophic.

The biggest reason for the turnaround in run defense has been the play of the d-line. The line playing gap sound and Roy Miller holding the point of attack against double teams. Thats not going to change just because Cody Grimm is out. The run defense may not be quite as good but it won’t go back to awful just because of the loss of a safety. If Roy Miller plays the way he did the last two weeks there shouldn’t be too much of a regression.

Lynch is a ballhawk. They need the LBs to step up in the run attack.

For the longterm, Lynch and grimm really compliment each other and Sean Jones has played very well for the Bucs.

The best way to stop Turner is not let him get going and that means the D-line is going to have to play great.

The guy’s bowling-ball quality makes it tough tackling for safeties and LBs .

With White, Gonzo, and Jenkins I think Lynch MIGHT be the best S on the roster for dealing with Ryan throwing to those guys.

I guess we won’t know until he plays the game but remember no one expected anything from Grimm and he surprised us all. Lets hope Lynch has some magic up his sleeve.

Well, it seems like Cory Lynch is going to bring a lot to the table on the pass, but someone will have to pick up the slack on the run (Sean Jones or dare I say Ruud). I still saw good run D after Grimm went out, so I’m not in a panic.

I’m going to be in South America this weekend. Anybody know of a good feed via online so I can pick up the game?
