You Tampa locals are such morons…really. You cry when you lose and then cry when you win. You couldn’t wait to get rid of Dungy then Gruden wins the superbowl and you still give him crap. You deserve nothing in terms of sports championships. Tampa Bay is one of the best teams in baseball and none of you losers can show up to sell out a game. It’s probably because you’re all home commenting on what coach Gruden is doing. What a sess pool. Do you idiots have any idea the amount of football knowledge these kids will recieve with him helping out? You can’t pay for that stuff you dopes.

He probably left because he realized he was a distraction. I’m sure he’s just an “assistant” who helps out the team, I really doubt he’s a coordinator or anything like that. So saying he abandoned the team is pretty ridiculous. But this is a website comment board, so the intelligence from most is going to be extremely limited.

MacBuc, not only are you a genius, you are also the MAN!!! But let’s not be too hard on Tampa2. The good Capt is very good a catching Catfish( and other bottom feeders!). If you chum the water just right, instinct forces a bite out of them. Tampa2 ‘s hand was shaking when he responded, but he had ta bite on the Gruden bait! He can’t help himself. It’s like hater aphrodisiac!

Private schools can recruit…It is a great move to get the exposer. Now, I do not think any parent should be yelling from the stands, and he should understand what Joe said above about the status of the refs. It would be better if he set a great sportman example.

While I’m sure the guy can add some great coaching knowledge and he wants to be able to interact with his son, why would the school even put themselves in this predicament. Every game is probably a three ring circus with people wanting to get pictures, autographs, etc. Instead of being about and focused on the kids, all attention is going to be on the volunteer offensive line assistant coach.

OK Tampa 2…to be fair, YPG is important, mostly because it is hard to score on teams that do not give up yards, but it is not the say all and be all after one game. The Bucs were number 20 on the list this week for YPG. By your logic there are twelve worse teams. Not to mention last year NE and Houston had an average of over 400 YPG on D, so I guess they sucked. On Sunday some of those teams that had a worse defense YPG than Tampa included…

Tampa2…at least you stopped misquoting the yardage…You also may want to learn about the Tampa 2 Defense, and the “bend but do not break” thing. All comebacks in the NFL look good on a resume, especially since the W is all that is seen. The score board is more important than the yards, ask any NFL coach and they will say the same thing.

Now, I agree that if this was not Gruden we would not have heard about it, but if it was not Gruden we would not know who the assistant head coach of the school was either. Gruden is a great coach, but he is no longer here. Your problem with the Capt. is not his hate for Gruden, but his love of the Bucs. He has not anointed Morris a savior, he has just said give the guy the chance other NFL coaches have received. You sir are the worst of the worst when it comes to Bucs fans. Go root for Carolina.

As he captains his lil bathtub tugboat around and around the tub! As ususal, some reporter seen a chance to make a big story out of nothing and Glazerites such as tugboat Timmie seized the chance to go off on Gruden.
Well Timmie, as you’re “malking” your dead issue in your bathtub, please remember that it wasn’t Gruden’s tight fisted ways that caused him to have to bring in old and troubled talent on the cheap after the Super Bowl. It was these Glazer brats that squeezed every penny out of the Bucs that did that. And Gruden still won with those has-beens!
Lets see how far this “Gump” of a coach gets ya! Having to come back to beat a team like the hapless Browns doesn’t make a very good NFL resume. Nor does the yards given up by our violent defense! Chucky makes news wherever he goes. When the Glazers finally realize their mistake, Raheem the dream will be nothing but a bad memory when he’s finally put out to pasture.

When I first discovered this post, about 6 months, I couldn’t believe how much pro Gruden garbage I had to listen to! The slow squad did nothing bit say how stupid the Glazers were for firing Gruden, how great he was, and how we would never win again. I personally though Gruden was a great x and o guy, but needed to be fired because he couldn’t draft or coach young players. But I knew Dungy would never win the SuperBowl, I loved Gruden when we won ours! Buuuuut, listening to the slow squad trash my Bucs over and over? That wasn’t gonna work. After months of cannon fire, and accusing them of watching “Gruden gone wild” tapes. The slow squad has FINALLY shut up about Gruden, and using him as a way to degrade the current regime. I consider it a job well down!! And most importantly, the truth is proving out. The team had been ran completely out of talent! The new guys are having to rebuild after 6 years of “the Bandaid method!”. So now, having battled multiple entrenched haters into silence, I still vigilantly patrol the sea, just malking sure that dead issue stays dead! He’s fired- move on!
