I just don’t see Q Black being a consistant threat for the rush, but I hear Raheem extolling his rushing ability. I’ll trust the coach on this one, but they need to get another DE in the rotation like you say. Great article once again, a must read.

Hey Steve,

I was wondering if when you watch the game the 2nd time and evaluate our D-line, do you get the chance to watch the reverse? See how their D-line does against our O-line? I wouldn’t think an individual breakdown is necessary, but it would be great if you could give a generalization of how they did against our O-line. Did we have protection? Did they open lanes the RB’s didn’t get to? Did they push us around up front? That would be awesome… not that it isn’t already. Thanks again for taking the time to do this each week. Very informative.

Thanks Steve. Hey the rain yesterday was perfect. I sat there and wasn’t about to move. I’m sure it was devastating for the Browns offense as it was pouring the last minute when they needed to move the ball 95 yards. It was great. There were a lot of Browns fans where my seats are. Glad to see them go home angry. LOL

I’m glad to see the Blackout forced you back into the Stadium.

Yesterday’s game was a total blast and if we can continue to be that loud as a fan base, it will help this defense IMO. It was cool with the rain in the 4′th quarter but Cleveland’s offense looked totally spent, line and all. I swear they couldn’t get it past their own 20 for ever. Our D Line appeared to have extreme confidence late in the game where they were just beating up the Browns, Joe Thomas and all. They made the Browns look bad. I saw a Browns’ offense that basically gave up, and threw in the towel, even though they were only down by 3 pts.

Hate to be blunt but Im not buying that answer from Coach Morris. Through out the preseason Bennett has been as or more physical against the run as any of our defensive ends bar none. Besides that in a physical game you would want more guys active if anything not less. What happens if one of the three ends go down?

He would have been much better off using the special teams excuse. At least that one is plausible.

i think we’ll continue to see mccoy moved around on that d-line. i thought they would do that with him as i watched his college film pre-draft. he has a great skill set for using him as a matchup guy all the way across the front 4.

I would sure like to see an Olinemen do the same thing, and put the magnifying glass on their asses though with a boot to follow. Was Clevelands Dline that good, because they sure did look stout against the run.

But whatever, great win bucs, hope old man Ronde got some Oxygen..Lol
