Said Cadillac probably wasn't going to rush for 2000 yards as many told me he would behind this "tremendous offensive line"---well if he gets maybe 1500 attempts he will manage it at his current YPC rate.

And I said Leftwich was a waste of skin who couldn't sniff McCown's jock strap--and I was wrong--he's far worse than that.

Oh yeah I'll hear the "300 yards!" screams and "3 F-ing Touchdowns! (well 4 if you count the one that went the other way) but this bozo with the moves of Kaw-Liga in the pocket and the wind-up and throw and spiral every bit as fast and accurate as a Tim Wakefield's knuckleball coming out of the stretch with bases loaded and that lard-ass Naverro the man on 3rd......man this guy is nothing short of awful. I yearn for the old days of the Blowin' Samoan or Gradkowski---I mean he is just painful to watch.

Add to this a polyana coach who makes Joe Madden look like a suicide candidate, with his head so far in the sand he can't see his new offensive coordinator would not be oppotunistic enough to call a pass play to a 6'6" wide receiver if he was playing against a secondary made up of 4 parapelegics---man this season is over!

Oh-did I mention #90, #20 and those other bums on defense? Make Trent Edwards look like Johnny U--and Fred Jackson looks like Eric Dickerson against these geezers. You have to hand it to Monte Kiffin--he was doing it with smoke and mirrors here for years--but the magic hand of Monte is now gone.

I hate to say it, but the worst part is I'll really hate to see the Ray's season end---and I'm pretty dammed upset I gave up my Lightning tickets this year.......because their won't be much anything to watch on Sunday around here.

Well I hope the pompano stay around a while this fall--at least I got that to look forward to on Sundays.

Well we all can't be as good as you Jorge but I guess my question is who is the #2 QB? Nobody seems to be suggesting its easy. Is it the "#2" in practice but who is not active or the "#3" who is?

If JJ is the backup just say so and "officialy" make him #2.

To anyone on this board being a 2nd string NFL quarterback must suck, again more hilarity from the gallery...

Must be a job anyone can do huh? Then again maybe not since there are only 32 positions available in the entire WORLD!

2nd team quarterbacks are incredibly important, ask the Eagles...

As for the regular backups:
I played college sports at a kind of high level and every time I watch a game the camera pans across the 6 or so guys on an NBA bench, or the sea of bodies on a NFL sideline and I think to myself-->Damn I wish I was as talented as the worse guy on that team...Making half a mill to help out the starters...

Joe;

You should do a piece on how awful the total access radio show was last night. It was a sunshine pumping pep rally. Except for hearing a player speak, it is a worthless show. I was truly disappointed in the two hosts. They even tried to spin Sabby into a positive.

Well I think this Coach and GM might not be ready too but they got the start. I doubt Freeman will be ruined but if he is that fragile then perhaps he should not be a NFL QB at all.

Is this coaching staff that good that they could make such a call as to who is ready and who is not? I'm just not so sure.

Oh well! Go Bucs!!!

Head Cheerleader/Motivator/High Fiver of the Bucs just wanted to protect his boyfriend's feelings plain and simple. Raheem is running out of football cliches and superlatives to say. Stop censoring him and just let him say violent at least once in every sentence and he'll be fine. Like: Johnson will be a violent backup for this league. He will be a violent asset to us. Josh Freeman will be our violent starting quarterback someday. Sabby was not violent enough that's why he miss coverage. Gaines Adams needs to be more violent with his pass rush.....See works like a charm.

Pete:

In short, just as Joe suspected, Freeman's not ready and the Bucs are bringing him along slow. Nothing wrong with that. Joe would rather Raheem the Dream take it slow than throw the kid to the wolves (most opponents first 12 weeks of the season) and ruin him forever.
