“One Of The Truest Relationships You Can Have;” Jameis Explains His Respect For DeSean Jackson

February 2nd, 2019

Is America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, just blowing a bunch of hot air, or does he really mean what he’s saying?

Joe’s not sure. And that’s scary.

During his Friday frolic around Radio Row, Jameis joined legendary quarterback/dog torturer Michael Vick for a FOX Sports interview.

It’s all in the video below, including Vick saying DeSean Jackson asked him to talk to Jameis about finding ways to get him the football. Jameis responded talking about how he has a special bond with Jackson. “One of the truest relationships you can have,” Jameis said of his connection with Jackson.

Jameis went on to say he needs to work on his football relationship with Jackson and get it more like what he has with Mike Evans.

“The man, he got skills out the ying-yang. I just got to give him the ball,” Jameis said of Jackson. “It’s not just long down the field. Put the ball in his hands; let him do what he do because he’s one of the greatest to ever play.”

This stuff is really making Joe ill on the eve of the Super Bowl.

Yes, Joe is confident Jameis is well aware that Jackson wants to play for another team and his heart isn’t in Tampa any longer. Jameis could have talked about Jackson in various ways, but this is what he chose. Joe doesn’t expect Jameis to trash Jackson, but this was nearly unbearable blubbering from a team-first guy talking about a team-last guy.

Hopefully, the new powers that be at One Buc Palace — and the old powers — are wise enough to realize moving on from Jackson is the smart move on so many levels, including his age and the fact a good or bad 2019 season from Jackson means he’ll gone regardless in 2020.

Winston probably needs some Dramamine to fight the dizziness from all of the Spin he’s been putting out

    “Whats up with BA?

He is constantly on TMZ on his knees begging for Djax to come back to tampa

Kobe is seriously beginning to think BA is here because he missed the spotlight

Im sure the older posters realize Kobe moonlights as a psychiatrist…

You guys know i did a thorough medical personality anylisis on klueless koetter and i think i might have to do one on bruce

I dont want to say what i think it is but the telltale signs and symptoms are so apparent its screaming at me…

I have asked poster dr stroud to join me in this medical evaluation…

I will realease diagnosis after the tests come back and share if there is treament for recovery”

“the fact a good or bad 2019 season from Jackson means he’ll gone regardless in 2020.”

The same could be said for Winston.

  7. Jonathan Lipnicki Says:

JW taking the highest of roads…he has no room for error, controversy or negative soundbytes. I say well done.

  8. BigMacAttack Says:

It’s all about return on investment and Djax has netted very little return if any.

  9. Bradentonbuc Says:

Doesn’t this feel like Jameis comments may be coordinated from (possibly) Bruce Arians? MAYbe was told hey get over it with Djax? Quite a turn around in tone from him comments a few days ago

  10. Pryda..sec147 Says:

    I hate this guy

  11. Topcoach1978 Says:

It’s so funny how when you talk about most other players you give them a bunch of adjectives describing bad habits before their name except JW all you could come up with is Americas Qb Pro Bowler! Smh!

  12. Mike Says:

My younger brother once wanted to print and sell t-shirts that said “Hide your beagle, Vick’s an Eagle.”

  13. COACH Says:

    dumb & dumber .

  14. westernbuc Says:

Earlier this week you guys said Koetter “slobbered” over DJax and that could’ve effected Jameis.

    Lol

  15. proudbucsfan Says:

Was it just me or did Jameis’s tone get really ghetto in this interview with mike vick compared to all his other inteview’s

  16. FairMinded Says:

“Proudbucfan” ghetto? Really? It was a relaxed interview and he was speaking loosely and informally. It’s nice seeing his personality come out a little as we all know he was not himself this past year. That’s confident swagger you’re seeing and if you don’t like that in your football players go watch ice-skating

  17. Bruce Blahak Says:

QB and the WR both need to find new addresses…lots of talking, when they both need to shut up and concentrate on football

  18. Bruce Blahak Says:

Vick, Lewis and Irvin as TV hosts! What the NFL has come to and why it is slowly becoming a trash heap. Those are credible people? And the crotch grabber wanting to be front and center after all he’s done?

  19. Ptwalk Says:

I thimk Jameis understands they’re trying to trade D Jackson and he’s talking his value up.

  20. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

“Is America’s Quarterback, Jameis Winston, just blowing a bunch of hot air, or does he really mean what he’s saying?

    Joe’s not sure. And that’s scary. ”

Well you learned Jameis told his new agent he wouldn’t sign on unless the agent dumped Jackson.

    It’s hot air.

  21. Kalind Says:

If they’re going to try and trade him, this is pure gold genius level stuff. Gotta get out there and kill the negative waves Moriarity! Who’s coughing up a premium pick for a problem child??

No one he’s a little angel who everyone loves and honestly, he’s one of the greatest to ever play. Now give me a second round pick, and frankly, I don’t know why I’m dijng this, you’re practically stealing him….

  22. Arian Nation Says:

    Pryda says,”I hate this guy”

    What guy?

    Vick, DJax or Jaboo?
Or half a dozen others mentioned.

  23. Duthsty Rhothdes Says:

    BA = Barry Melrose

  24. TouchDownTampaBay Says:

Hey Bruce GFY! It’s the offseason for everyone except the Rams and the Patriots and nearly every NFL vet is in Atlanta this week. You’re an idiot!

  25. dmatt Says:

Com on man…let DJax walk! We don’t need him. He’s 32 yrs old set in his ways. He don’t believe in practicing, which he didn’t complain about before signing his contract. He’s all about DJax only, self centered n made it clear it would be nice to play in LA. Let’s not beg this cancer to return to one Buc place. It’s not fair that others like Winston,Humphries, Barber,Brate, Evans, n Godwin bust their butts in practice as well as game day n DJax who has demonstrated lackadaisical behavior in meaniful games has the audacity to request not to practice…who does he think he is Michael Jordan…my bad, the greatest loved practicing.

  26. sunshine Says:

Don’t blame Djax for wanting a more accurate qb to connect with him.. Fits could but Winston only gets close …

  27. Destinjohnny Says:

Jameis Just doesn’t have the Accuracy consistently to be top 10

  28. RustyRhinos Says:

    Dr. Kobe Faker mofo,
    Hahahahhaha!!! Hahhahahaha!!!

  29. Alanbucsfan Says:

    Joe,
Did DJax get Rachel Watson’s number, too?

  30. RustyRhinos Says:

Not to sure what our QB should say when our WR stated publicly that he wants to play for another team. And that the WR is not overjoyed to want to play on our team with our QB. Then the New Boss is saying same as the Old Boss all those warm fuzzy things about our QB’s WR who publicly said he wants to play for another team. What positive thing could come out of our QB’s mouth? Only our WR best points, and little fluffing up of HC’s warm fuzzy words. While wrapping it all up with a Smile. Great job Jamise Winston.

  31. lambchop Says:

Mike Vick was laughing inside cuz he know Djax thinks 3 sucks. Jameis is fake. That’s his biggest problem. He talks more than he walks. He just recently said he needs to stop talkin and be about it. Guess, it didn’t last very long.

I doubt Mike Vick, Dan Marino, Tom Brady, or Philip Rivers would say something like that given the same history between them and a WR. They would probably not talk ish, but they wouldn’t look stupid by praising someone unnecessarily.

Although, truest relationship could mean we don’t like each other and we can admit it to each other but not on TV.

3 just needs to say very little cuz he looks stupid. The entire league knows DJax wanted Fitz to be his QB, why make a fool of yourself? It’s not about taking the high road. If you think that, then you haven’t played competitive sports.

  32. Howard Cosell Says:

Joe, I know it seems your world is crashing in around you right now. Chin up tiger. It seems like a big deal and your confused and scared but all things will pass. Years from now you’ll look back at Jameis slurping Djax and realize that in the big scheme of things it was never that important. We commenters are here for you in your time of need

  33. BucsFIRE Says:

Jesus, everyone relax. Why the hell are you making a big deal of this or (for some of you) taking it as an opportunity to take more potshots at Jameis?

When has JW ever badmouthed anyone? It is not in his nature. His nature is to see the best in everyone, friend or enemy. This is not a character flaw.

To see him just being out and about.. and finding his swag again.. instead of his head hanging low like a kicked dog…. is HUGE.

  34. proudbucsfan Says:

First off, Fairminded I did not say anything Negative about Jameis. all I was Stating was that Jameis went alittle ghetto in the interview compared to any other interview he has done since he has been in the NFL. I have supported JW from the moment we selected him #1 overall. So if you dont like my evaluation of the interview I could meet you somewhere and we could Discuss the issue face to face.
