Flashback To 2017

November 4th, 2018

Ugly offense today.

Last year when the Bucs got blown out in domes, part of the reason was the offense had too many three-and-outs.

And the same thing happened today in the first half, only the Bucs were playing under a blue sky for a roof.

Four times in the first six drives today, the Bucs had three-and-out drives. The way the Stinking Panthers were moving the ball — or the defense was getting the ball jammed down their throats — it was a killer.

So just as soon as the Bucs got the ball, they punted it right back to Carolina — except when the punter threw to a double-covered receiver — and the snowball continued to roll downhill.

  2. Season Is Over Says:

Haha! No one is falling for this. Did you ask McCoy where he was all game?

  3. AlteredEgo Says:

It’s a long way and time till next September…..

  4. TheBucsAnthem Says:

McCoy was in his batcave playing with dolls again on the pile of the Glazers 100 million they gave him……..

Boy, McCoy really took the Glazers for a ride…..

  5. VFL98 Says:

Fire Dirk!!! Defense sucks Dirk fired Mike Smith- Offense sucks Dirk benched Winston, the whole team sucks they need to fire the root of the problem Dirk dumb$# Koetter…Embarrissing!!! No excuse to be this bad after this many years. WOW!!

  6. WalkdaPlank Says:

Yea I heard McCoy was back for this game but that can’t be right because McCoy would’ve had an impact on this game defensively, right? RIGHT?

  7. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    McCoy what a useless DT…………………

he already infected Vita Vea with the disappearing act too

  8. VFL98 Says:

McCoy is the most over player on the team!! He just brings home a big fat check and fills his toy box with superman crap and his pantry full of food. Give me a break, How many sacks has he had this year?????

  9. Alaskan Abdominal Snowman Says:

So Fitz has more 3 and outs and Jameis more turnover. Either one gives the ball back to this terrible defense and has the same result.
    Bucs going down big early.
Opposing defense softens up and our offense comes alive.
Then our defense comes up short at the end.
    Rinse and repeat.

  10. R.O. Says:

Boy Week 2 everyone was on their knees drinking the milky load. Now you refuse to open wide! No reason to blow up the whole team. Need to fix the Defense and the O-Line/run game. Bye Warhop and Hoke the ready of the secondary coaches.

  11. Rod Munch Says:

I had no issues with the fake punt there. The defense isn’t stopping anyone and is going to march straight down the field and get a TD, so you might as well try something different. With that said it was a very poorly designed fake punt that looked like a cluster from the snap of the ball. There are fake punts where you actually think they’re punting, then there is this that looked like a bust play from the start.

You have to try to do something different and Dirk at least tried. It failed because him and most of his coaching staff is incompetent, but I don’t mind the call.

  12. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Ya know, maybe TMax or Reality is a Beotch was on to something. All he ever does is bash Geraldini and the Glazers. It does seem to be the same old sh*t show year, after year, after year, after year.

  13. Bucs fan #7423 Says:

I’m over here admiring how well coached the Saints are. Dirk Koetters teams wait til the 2nd half to play football

I guess we forgot about the inception on just the second drive? I guess Fitz gets a pass on that, after all inceptions aren’t everything ammirite?

  15. PSLBob Says:

When you consider the points the Panthers got off the first Fit interception and the failed going for it on 4th deep in your own territory, that’s the difference in score.

  16. Skywalker0028 Says:

Hey remember when the old Nintendo had the power button you just hit when the computer was opening a can of whoopass on you. That’s what’s needed right now at 1 buc place. It’s absolutely horrible when I don’t even get mad when we loose like this. I don’t even get mad when people tease me for wearing my Bucs jersey here in New England where I live. Who do we blame now? Winston? Mccoy? Kotter? Jesus maybe? We need some punch you in the mouth players and coaches that are hungry. Let’s start a locker room fight and see who comes out alive and let them be the core of our team cause we are str8 soft. Ahhhhhhh ok rant over

  17. Not there yet Says:

Wow all these posts about Geraldine as if you didn’t know the defense was garbage. This post is about the sorry excuse of a coach. Joke saying the is the best offense in the league simply because of yards. Dirk is trash and his one chance to coach is coming to an end, he’ll never get another chance and he’s a sore loser.

It’s pretty pathetic to decide to lose with an old veteran than even seeing if you can salvage enough to make him tradable. Either he’s admitting his o line is dog doo and can’t protect a quarterback or he’s just plane ignorant. We’re going to blow it all up apparently and cut everyone with a big salary. We’ve never had an elite quarterback but all of a sudden a rookie is going to come run this offense. Glazers will make another stupid decision and we’ll lose another 10 years

  18. JimmyJack Says:

I want a player coach. JPP and Fitz are my canidates.

  19. Bucsace Says:

Watching Saints vs.Rams game…….Did the Bucs actually beat the Saints earlier this season? No, must have been a dream

  20. cw_buc_crazy Says:

    Fitz 35, Matt Ryan 33, Tom Brady 41,Drew Brees 39, Ben R 36, Joe Flacco 33, Aaron R 34.
So Fitz is not an alone “old fart”, the age is irrelevant as statistic show. He is not on the skill levels of other “old farts”, yes that is true.
BUT is true that our team is a crappy team too. So as of now Fitz is the least problem we have.
Start firing and cutting…… while Fitz is playing and closing the season.

  21. Swanee Says:

VFL98,,,, Fire dirk yes, because he benched Fitz. He knew who was the better quarterback wearing a Bucs uniform. 28 points is more then enough points to win in NFL . Giving up 40 plus points is sure loss each week. Owners had no business rewarding Koetter with another another year of coaching. If owners did not foresee this then winning is not as important to them as it is to fans financially supporting their investment.

  22. Bucbeard Says:

I just want us to find a decent coaching staff. What does it take?

  23. Bucs 14 Says:

I vote for seeing if we can’t get Bill Cowher back into coaching. Jimmy Johnson even. The game may have past them by, but I am sure they can catch up. Dungy as head of football operations.

  24. sandwichman Says:

Sigh………….if they fire Dirk will it really help anything tho? My soul has been shattered honestly. My mind tells me to give up on this team and now my heart is telling me to do it to. IDK…….i just dont friggin know what to do?! WHY does this keep happening to us??!! I dont get it! I really dont. Why cant we have just one friggin happy super season?! Just one?! Come on football gods just throw us a bone please for change!

  25. Ed Says:

New coaching search is on. The players know its over for this staff so why prolong the agony. Dirk keeps saying he doesn’t have the answers. I have the answer, get a tough football team, a team that wants to play 60 minutes, a team that knows how to tackle, players that don’t pout (what happened to Mike Evans yesterday?)and physical offensive and defensive lines.

Get stronger players, speed is important for sure but our offensive line were manhandled by Rivera’s defense yesterday. You have to punch back. The Bucs represent the demeanor of their coaches. I friggin hate Sean Payton with his smug attitude but damn he coaches teams that are tough. They aren’t known for defense but they manhandled Gurley yesterday.

Thats what we cannot do, we cannot manhandle anyone. It is weakness from the head coach on down. Licht hasn’t helped the situation with his lousy defensive drafts and failure to build an offensive line that knocks the snot off of opposing defenses.

Soft teams do not win in the NFL just because they play hard and don’t quit, they must get some tough guys on the lines, these players aren’t being coached up to be able to physically hold their own with their opponents. Yes, Glazers begin the search now, everyone around the league knew that after Hue Jackson, Dirk was next on the hot seat. Its not hot anymore, he has been burned alive for the past 5 weeks. Fate sealed.

  26. JimmyT Says:

    Hey SWANNE
Jameis, in his first start against Falcons had 29 w a misssd FG AND PAT and 4 TDS and two picks that didn’t cost them a point. I don’t remember u saying 29 points was enough back then. What a joke u guys are
