BUMPED in case you missed it!

Buccaneers legend Derrick Brooks brings the video juice to his preview of the Bucs-49ers game with Ira Kaufman. Plenty of other Bucs chatter, too.

TAMPA TWO is a twice-weekly production of The Identity Tampa Bay with JoeBucsFan.com, presented by Caldeco Air Conditioning & Heating.

  1. Bucs Fan #7423 Says:

Vita Vea is a one trick pony. He’s a Soft bull rushing pansy

  2. TheBucsAnthem Says:

I think I heard Sapp or Ian Beckles first calling Vita Velcro.

………it’s 100% true, he just looks like he just cannot get off his blocks.

He can shove and push his man………but just cannot get off?????

Maybe he should be converted to a guard????????

  3. Trench War Says:

Show is getting better and better. I like the chemistry. The Sage is like comic relief there to induce that great DB smile. The one we used to see through his facemask on Sundays. Keep up the great work!

  4. Oxycondoms Says:

When vea was drafted and he was doing his first interviews at one but place I wasn’t feeling his intensity for the sport or for being a buc I had a bad feeling from the beginning on him

  5. Fire Light Says:

Brooks calls him Velcro. Ouch. Vita Velcro. What a crap pick Jason Licht. I really hope AC-Needing Hot Seat Sitting Jason Licht reads these comments. Fireeeee Licht!

  6. Fire Light Says:

@TheBucsAnthem if you convert Vita Velcro to a guard players will just run around his fat %ss or he will get called for holding on every play. Guys a bum. Worst first round pick since Aaron Curry.

  7. Tampa Bay Demon Says:

    VITA VEA

Are we really giving up on this kid already in year 1?

Is that how it works around here?

    wow.

  8. unbelievable Says:

    @tampa bay demon

You must be new around here. We give up on players after 1 bad play.

  9. Tampa Bay Demon Says:

^^ Hear ya, man. Yea, that’s sad.

  10. Fire Light Says:

Watch Vea play and you will give up on him too.

  11. Tampa Bay Demon Says:

^^ Nah, I don’t give up on DT’s in year 1. — It is the position that most often takes at least until year 2 to develop in

  12. TOM Says:

C’mon people, cut the kid some slack. Yes , he needs work but lets wait & see what happens next year with some decent coaching.

  13. Oxycondoms Says:

I’m glad jameis went for it against saints last year on last play of game that winners mentality really carried over into this year .

  14. stpetebucsfan Says:

Vea has one sack so far this year. Sapp had three in his rookie year. Vea still has a chance to match Sapp’s output.

Am I saying he’s as good as Sapp…or course not…I’m simply pointing out that the GOAT of the position had a mediocre rookie season…his 3 sacks ballooned to nine his second year and he was off to the races.

I have no doubt that if Sapp came to the Bucs like Vea he would be getting slammed right now. Sapp and Brooks…and the rest of that awesome defense had an advantage. So many great players there wasn’t so much pressure on any ONE player.

I just hope Vea can stay healthy and get in a lot of reps the final six games. He NEEDS more experience!
