“Still Have A Great Relationship With Him”

September 18th, 2018

Talks Fitz and Jameis today.

Less than 12 hours after stud wide receiver DeSean Jackson took to the NFL Network and suggested the Bucs ride the hot hand of backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick when America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, finishes his three-week sentence a week from today, Jackson appeared on Jason Whitlock’s FS1 hollerfest “Speak for Yourself.” There, Jackson seemed to be slightly trying to walk back from his comments Monday.

But Jackson did not deny — given ample opportunities to do so — he prefers Fitz because, he said, Fitz is hot.

No matter who starts at quarterback for the Bucs, Jackson called Jameis and Fitz “great” and that he will ball out to help the team win. Jackson also said he has spoken with Jameis, though he was not specific about when other than to say it was more than once.

Jackson also added he has a “great relationship” with Jameis.

Marcellus Wiley: Your coach hasn’t even gone on record to say [Fitz should start]. What motivated you to say it?

DeSean Jackson: Honestly man, we’re playing well right now. It’s not my decision. We are 2-0 and playing some great football right now. [Comments about Fitz last night] is what I felt at the time. We were kind of joking saying it is like NBA Jam. You know, when you are on fire you have to keep shooting. I am just having fun playing at a high level right now. Everybody is ralliyng behind the way [Fitz] is playing and the way everybody else is playing. We are just having a lot of fun doing it.

Jason Whitlock: Hey, look. When I see a guy who is comfortable enough to let wear your clothes, I start thinking, ‘These guys have got to be best friends.’ Only best friends do that. How thick is your connection with Ryan Fitzpatrick? Some guys will think, hey, the outspoken DeSean Jackson tight with the Ivy League quarterback? That seems odd.

Jackson: (laughs) Fitz is a good dude. He has played in this league a long time. He played for multiple teams. He knows how to get it done. We have a good relationship. That doesn’t [conflict] with the relationship I have with Jameis, too. Being a professional athlete, we work so hard at what we do, sure, we are going to go out and have some fun. There is a lot of seriousness going on. And when you are winning [dressing up Fitz], that’s what happens. Fun things come out. That’s all it is. We won two games no one gave us a one percent chance of winning. We are going to have fun doing that and we are just going to keep playing at a high level.

Wiley: So if what you said comes to life, how do you think Jameis is going to handle a demotion when he returns from suspension?

Jackson: Honestly man, that is further out of my decision. I don’t know how he is going to take it. But at the end of the day, he will come back and be supportive. Whatever decision is made, we have two great quarterbacks that I feel like can get the job done. So whoever gets that call, which once again is not my decision, I just have to go out and make plays and continue to make them at a high level. I will do my job and whoever is playing quarterback, you know, that’s their job to get that job done. We will have fun doing it however we are doing it. So long as we keep winning games and put W’s on our schedule. That’s all that matters.

Whitlock: DeSean, we heard some stories about Jameis contacting and texting his teammates after the game. Have you stayed in communication with Jameis? How do you feel like he has handled the suspension and sitting out and having to watch at home?

Jackson: It has definitely been tough. I’m sure he is sitting back and watching us going out and win games. One thing I will say, it has probably humbled him and made him a lot more mature and made him more of a man. I’ve talked to him a couple of times. He’s just being very supportive and reaching out and saying “Continue to ball out. Keep doing your thing.” I feel for him. Anytime [someone] is suspended or [have their livleihood] taken away from them, what you love to do and how you support your family, that would be a tough task. I feel for him. Like I said, I still connect with him and still have a great relationship with him. Regardless of what we are doing now and how we are playing, that still doesn’t have anything to do with the relationship I have with him. I know he will come in and just be supportive of whatever it is he is asked to do.

It won’t be long, maybe just one week, when we learn who will start at quarterback in Chicago for Week 4.

Man, this upcoming Monday Night Football game is as juicy as they come. Le’Veon Bell is playing hooky riding jet skis in South Beach. Antonio Brown flips out on a former Steelers employee on Twitter and hints he should be traded so Pittsburgh will learn the hard way how good he is. The Steelers are 0-1-1. The Bucs have a record-setting offense and are undefeated despite being knee-deep in a quarterback controversy.

This Monday Night Football game is dripping with so much drama, Joe cannot remember a more compelling game broadcast on the four-letter.

    knee-deep?

    No. Not yet.

  2. Rod Munch Says:

Oh God, people want to make something out of nothing. What D-Jax said is correct, if Fitz is playing like this you’re not taking him out. I’m a huge Winston backer and 100% believe he’d be having similar numbers right now, and that Winston at some point this year will be putting up those numbers, but until Fitz cools off and has a couple of bad games in a row, he stays in there. That’s just common sense and there isn’t controversy about that. Winston will be back in there at some point, and if he isn’t, it’s because the NFL records books are rewritten and the Bus go 19-0, because that is the current pace that Fitz is on, which tells you it’s unstainable. But until that point you ride him hard, Jameis can wait.

  3. Gene Deckehoff is my hero Says:

Full Blown Jameis Supporter. Fitz qb rating is in the 150s… Yeah ride the hot hand. Put Jameis in when Fitz Magic is over. Simple as that.

  4. BigPoppaBuc Says:

I’m wondering how much the locker room opinion will matter to Koetter when decision time comes. I can’t lie… I’m torn. The whole thing makes me sick and the Bucs are 2-0. I don’t like the media talking about it and asking coaches and players about it. Is Fitz going to have a magical season and put the Bucs in a position to have to pay him big? With Winston on a fifth year option? Because if we’re winning we won’t be in position to draft a top QB. I guess I just don’t want to be stuck with a banged up 37 year old QB while watching Winston play (and probably win) for another team. But if Fitz wins a Super Bowl? Too many hypothetical variables around a decision like this.

  5. Lamarcus Says:

Jw is my favorite but keep Fitz in if he the reason why we are winning

  6. Anonymous Says:

There is no QB controversy. But I understand the media wants one.

  7. Trench War Says:

This has become ad nauseam, I’m with Koetter on this. Let’s get through the 3rd game first before the media splits our locker room. They (the media) keep saying the Bucs can’t accept success. I think the media tries to create that false narrative. Something that everyone should remember, Jameis put himself in this position, and now he can either sulk over it, or be a leader and get behind his team, and get behind Fitz. Don’t let the media goad Jameis into saying something he might regret. Because we know they will.

  8. Etzel Says:

I feel ya, BPB. The national media who did not watch this team last year at all, seems to have a lot of opinions. Most of them do not even mention the change in playcalling or the fact that Fitz started games for us last year. I too have nightmares of Jameis winning SBs with another team. My main worry is that Fitzmagic lasts up until the games start to matter…. I think making the change at QB early on is the better move but also see where it is hard to bench Fitz at the moment.

  9. Bird Says:

I hope it’s not another Steelers home game. You know the Terrible towels will be everywhere. Glad to hear Leveon no where near to being back at team headquarters.

Cmon buc fans. Don’t sell your season tickets. Show up for this one. I will be there for sure.

Let’s make this 3-0 against the toughest starting schedule in NFL super bowl history . Cause bears game is no cake walk either . How much confidence would this team have after balling against the best in nfl. Go bucs!

  10. Dave Says:

Don’t overlook the fact of the Steelers offense is putting up points and yards just like the Buccaneers offense.

  11. Lord Cornelius Says:

“The Bucs have a record-setting offense and are undefeated despite being knee-deep in a quarterback controversy.”

I’d correct this to “despite starting the year with the backup QB”… that was the obstacle… there was no QB controversy to start the year and that hasn’t been an obstacle or factor to overcome in weeks 1 & week 2.

If anything the only reason there even is a QB controversy is because we’re winning; not that we’re winning in spite of one or whatever.

But i get it – love you guys – GO BUCS!

  12. Lord Cornelius Says:

    “Dave Says:

Don’t overlook the fact of the Steelers offense is putting up points and yards just like the Buccaneers offense.”

Only in week 2 tho in a game they were down 14+ the whole time and had the highest over under of the week. They sucked 4ss in Cleveland week 1 and Ben does a lot worse away than home for whatever reason.

  13. Etzel Says:

Early-season away-game Roethlisberger might as well be Flacco…. Well maybe not that bad.

  14. i like gunslingers Says:

R-E-L-A-X and enjoy the show, winston will be back when it’s winstons time, right now it’s fitz’s time, and if the hot streak continues, he will remain at the helm, jameis will just have to grin and bare it, he’s got the hot hand going, no need to disrupt that and jameis knows that, hey and if he keeps this pace up going forward, keep going, i am happy for the players, i am happy we are still in it, and i’m happy jameis is coming back, in a week. go fitz, go bucs and come on jameis

  15. Anonymous Says:

The reason we are winning, it’s not just Fitzpatrick. We are winning because this new offensive line is legit and our defense is finally showing up. Any good, serviceable QB will shine behind it. Jameis can do it better. All the struggles he’s been throu have not all been his sole fault. Jameis, this time, will be behind a better offensive line with all this weapons. As I understand it, they were “Weapons for Winston”. I still don’t understand the hate.

  16. DB55 Says:

I think at this point even Jameis is like let Fitz play.

I wonder if the defense had given up the lead the last two weeks ( they came extremely close to doing so) and lost both games disputed Fitz play if the world would still be singing his praises? Bc if memory serves me correctly Winston lost 4 games last year when the defense gave up the lead late in the fourth qrt.

  17. Capt Kidd Says:

I wish D-Jax hadn’t said what we’re all thinking on National TV. He should have deferred the question like Mike Evans did.

Players should stay out of those controversies and just say we’re all teammates and I’ll ball out for whoever the coaches decide. As example, D-Jax would not appreciate Winston or Fitz going on TV and saying “I prefer to throw it to Evans, cuz he’s hot.” You always support your teammates and leave those questions to the coach.

  18. Mike Johnson Says:

Media is hyping this Fitz/Jameis thing up for no reason. Nobody stops a good thing in life when they are on a roll. And our Bucs are no exception. Fitz will continue to play until he either starts playing bad or is hurt. End of Story. Jameis will come back and be ready when the opportunity presents itself. Jameis is the future QB of the Bucs. And everybody knows it. So lets move on..we won’t though.

  19. feelthepewterpower Says:

It’s the play calling putting the entire offense in a better line light. Staying ahead of the sticks means less penalities, more off valance from the opposing defense, less turnovers, less penalities, etc.

  20. Godeep66 Says:

Let’s trade JW and get some more draft picks for next year.

  21. BrianBucs Says:

Sounds like DJ heard from Licht or somebody else in the organization and was told to watch his comments. The best way for any player or coach to get a fast pink slip and ticket out of town is to speak poorly of Licht’s “Chosen One”. DJ will know better next time

This is our future that every one wants so bad. 10 more years of this.

  25. BigMacAttack Says:

I’d be shocked if Dirk lets anyone know who will start in Chicago before they take the field. He likes to keep them guessing and he should.

  26. Buc1987 Says:

Thanks Chris….I let you know when I care.

  27. passthebuc Says:

Why is it that reporters, willingly or unwillingly, develop a line of questioning that is controversial. I can understand why many athletes shy away from interviews.

  28. Mike in LOL Says:

I am a huge Jameis supporter. I do believe this is THE defining time in his life where he will step up and finally be a man, not some troubled man-child making poor decisions on and off the field.

Between him recently becoming a father and the suspension and now seeing this “QB controversy” play out, I do believe Jameis is deeply humbled now and will stay humble and is ready to apply all that he’s learned throughout this life changing timeframe.

A humble Jameis is a good Jameis. He has now seen how a winner should conduct himself a-la Fitzpatrick. I think the Bucs ride the hot hand, but eventually Fitz will come back to Earth and at that point Jameis will take the reigns and show all the doubters once and for all that he DOES have all the talent AND he can put it all together to win consistently.

Go Fitz! Go Jameis! And most importantly GO BUCS!!!

  29. Rojas Says:

    Agreed 100% Mike.

This just in, Kate hates her job.

Extra Extra, Kate is a porn star now… Thx JW, now we all want to grab her crotch.

  31. FreeTheSecretWeapon Says:

While all this is going dow Ryan Griffin is like, I got the best job in the world!!!

  32. Big Stinky Says:

    @Lamarcus

Now you want to keep Fitzy in? I thought you said he was garbage a couple of months ago! Now you’re driving the bandwagon. Go ahead and admit you would rather have Jameis at QB right now. The pressure is on Winston now, Fitzmagic is showing us what a real QB can do. We want a QB that has touch and, so far, JW doesn’t have it. #FearTheBeard #GoBucs

  33. NJBucsFan Says:

Stick with the hot hand…plus it sounds like Winston will have a lawsuit defense to prepare for

  34. Dlavid Says:

This is so easy … please everyone quit the fretting . Play Fitz as long as he is winning or being plenty productive or injury ! JW can ride the pine all year if that what it means . Then you come back with JW next year and he is the future who got a good dose of humble pie . Let Fitz walk and collect the big paycheck somewhere else . Can’t afford both QB’s .

  35. Buc1987 Says:

Stinky…Lamarcus hasn’t changed his tune or driving the bandwagon….

Dayum you haters have reading comprehension problems sometimes (most of the time). He said ….IF…he’s the reason…never stating that’s his belief.

It’s certainly not my belief that Fitz is 100% the reason why the Bucs are winning.
You can live in your fantasy land all you want. I’m rooting for Fitz and the Bucs 1000%, but I’ll stand pat on Fitz NOT being a better QB than Jameis Winston.

I hope you comprehended that okay….

  36. feelthepewterpower Says:

Winston is getting sued. Knew that was coming from the attorney who tried to litigate him in the first case. #axetogrind

  37. Chris in WA Says:

For everyone who only graduated high school let me educate you that this is a civil case and there doesn’t need to be “Beyond a reasonable doubt” there just needs to be a preponderance of evidence in a civil case.

The NFL, through its investigation, has already suspended Winston due to a preponderance of evidence that he did in fact commit the allegations.

I’ve used a lot of big words so I’ll break it down:

There needs to just be a greater than 50% chance that Jamies is guilty. Not 100% not 99%, just 50%

Winston has two options: Settle out of court like he did with Kinsman, or let this play out where he will most likely be ruled against (as the NFL has already done so). There is no good option for his media image at this point.

  38. AJ Says:

Why do these guys even bother going on these asinine shows? All they are looking for is a clip of a sentence to take and blow it way out of proportion. Would love to see our guys give these pundits the finger. Three weeks ago our guys couldn’t get the time of day from them.

  39. Rojas Says:

    Oh she’s after money.. shocker..

  40. gilhealy Says:

@Chris in Wa, Jameis didn’t settle out of court with Kinsman. He called her bluff till the day to file, and then he counter sued. She withdrew her suit. No money changed hands, and both were responsible for their own court costs and attorney fees. Just so you know.

  41. Alanbucsfan Says:

DJax didn’t walk back from anything… He just responded to typical media trying to create drama out of nothing and was professional in his response

  42. James Walker Says:

D-Jax is NOT what most peeps thought he was. They guy is straight up and balls.

  43. Chris in WA Says:

    gillhealy:

    https://www.joebucsfan.com/2016/12/report-jameis-will-settle-rape-accuser/#comments

From this very website. “According to court docs, Kinsman and Winston reached an agreement and will file a joint dismissal in the next few weeks.

The details of the settlement are unclear.”

Please tell me your source that no money changed hands seeing how the terms were confidential.

  44. NJBucsFan Says:

DJax is and can ball. He didn’t come to Tampa like many other free agents to cash a check. He’s asserting himself as a tone setter and leader on this team.

  45. Buc1987 Says:

    Thanks Chris for that.

Buc1987 in Port Richey Florida does not care about his “media” image at this point. So what do you think will happen Chris…do tell? The Bucs will rid themselves of this devil?

Chris…. the national media image of Jameis Winston was what before uber? Do I need to throw out an answer for you?

Us rednecks here in Florida understand exactly what you mean and your words really weren’t that big.

I said you wanna be startin’ somethin’
You got to be startin’ somethin’
I said you wanna be startin’ somethin’

  46. Big Stinky Says:

    @Buc1987

So you speak for Lamarcus do you? Mind your own business Brother! Just wondering why he changed his tune. I hope Jameis is as good as you think he is. Hate to waste 4 or 5 years on an average QB. Jameis will get his chance to prove you’re right or wrong. Thanks for being another person getting my hopes up. Gonna remember you now! Hope you are right about Winston and he’s better this year.

  47. Donuts Says:

    Gilhealy

Your living in Winston denial land of you don’t think he settled with Kinsman. Google it.

  48. Lamarcus Says:

    Big stinky

He was garbage. Probably still garbage. Fitz did better than any Qb in history of the league and NOBODY EXPECTED IT.

So yeah Keep the hot hand if it’s that easy

  49. Duthsty Rhothdes Says:

This is what it is to be a bucs fan, super success on offense, one of the worst defenses in the NFL, a potential top 5 qb who is a complete knucklehead off the field and then fitzmagic the top 1 or 2 qb in the NFL currently, welcome to as the pewter pirates turn

  50. ShutTheBucUp Says:

The uber driver is SUING winston. Story developing ….

  51. Buc1987 Says:

Big Stinky….thanks. Most can’t ever forget me. Cause I’m beautiful.

Lamarcus will be along to let you know what he meant I’m sure. I’ve read his posts all summer long too.

IMO..the ONLY one that matters….Buc1987, DeSean Jackson. Lamarcus, Big Stinky, Jameis Winston, and every Joe Blow Bucs Fan…. all want Fitz to keep going.

Are you trying to say to Lamarcus that he should have known better about Fitz?

    Just curious!

  52. Big Stinky Says:

    @Buc1987

I see you like to talk chit and try to make people look stupid. I’ll remember that about you so I don’t feel bad talking chit back to you. God Bless!

  53. Lamarcus Says:

    Big stinky

Newsflash. This whole team stuck up til this point. Don’t be that dumb man.

Jw is more talented and yes I do rather what to see him playing but that’s out of everyone control so I got to roll with the punches. You know happy that the Bucs are winning. Don’t you realize that the Bucs were not expecting to win? Enjoy the unexpected joy.

  54. Buc1987 Says:

Lamarcus…lmao…I was slow posting that not knowing you were going to come along….

    Exactly what you said….oh jeeeeeeesh!

Dude …how ……DO…..WE…deal with these people?

  55. JabooBuc Says:

Kiss JW good bye. Story just broke. He is now being sued by the Uber driver. Time to move on

  56. Buc1987 Says:

    Big Stinky…lol.

I was gone from the site for about 8 months(perhaps longer) or so…important matters.

I guess you missed my welcome back party… 🙂

I read the site and it’s comments thoroughly though…commenting or not. I was here. I know who’s who. I know Lamarcus and MANY know me.

    Have fun with it. It’s a Buc’s life. 87 means…since 87.

  57. Evolvingbucsfan Says:

Just heard jameis is getting sued now by “Kate “ on the local news, what timing

  58. Big Stinky Says:

    @Lamarcus

I wouldn’t talk about people being dumb. You need to read your posts before you post them because I can barely understand what you are trying to say. Maybe you need hooked on phonics.

  59. Buc1987 Says:

JabooBuc…we’ve been talking about it for about an hour now…..but thanks.

I of course don’t care…they (the Bucs) prolly saw this coming anyways!

    Good grief!

Jameis Winston is not going ANYWHERE!

  60. Kalind Says:

As a proud, happy Jameis fan. There is no controversy. None. Fitz is the man until the magic wears off. Once that happens…Jaboo comes in and gives us a lift. Hardly a bad plan.

  61. Jeffbuc Says:

Jaboo buc why would him being sued get him cut now. He already got his punishment everyone knows the story. Her suing him was just the next step everyone saw coming. She isn’t pressing charges just a civil law suit that carries no criminal prosecution. He either has to pay her or he doesn’t. And most likely she will be paid off in return for a gag order and we will never hear from her or about this again. They stuck with him this long there not getting rid of him over a civil suit. Lessen McCoy is in a civil suit right now and you don’t hear a word about it he is playing. I bet there are 20 players in the league right now with civil cases against them right now.

  62. Kalind Says:

And in the most shocking story of the day (sarcasm) Uber driver has her hand out. I swear, that train is NEVER late. Can set you watch by that.

  63. Lamarcus Says:

    Big stinky

If u didn’t understand but u replied to me? Come on man.

Anyways. Yes sir. I’m a big JW supporter and apologist and proud of it.
But HOW the Bucs are winning right now nobody can’t deny their excited. There is nothing much to it. Yes 3 weeks ago Fitzgarbage was alive and well and I wanted Fitz to fail to shut JW haters up but he shocked the world and he even shocked himself. I’m actually happy and get giddy when ppl in underdogs situations come up on top. Sorry that I’m just loving the team winning

  64. Big Stinky Says:

    @Buc1987

Sounds like you are a legend in your own mind. I figured the 1987 was when you were born. Go ahead and team up on me, I like it.

  65. DB55 Says:

Look if I’ve said it once I’ve said it a hundred times if Tampa don’t want Jameis there are teams who will happily take him. As of today Giants fans are debating how many draft picks and players to give up for Winston.

The current offer is a 3rd, 6th and 7th plus some player guy for Winston. I for one approve this message, anything to get him out of Tampa and when the hot hand cools off we’ll see how well we do with Ryan Griffin in the nfc south.

    #RunJameisRun

  66. JabooBuc Says:

1987- sorry, jumped in late and missed the previous banter. Disagree, I believe they will ultimately part ways with JW. in reading her claims, it appears that he still doesn’t get it.

More interesting is the fact that I believe the players are tired of the antics as evidenced by the DJax comments. I said it last year after the eating W’s bs. You could see the players looked at him like a kid. They were over the shenanigans.

Finally, I’m an FSU grad with daughters. I don’t want him out there and I think we can do better. I don’t care how good he turns out. We can do better.

  67. D the Bucs fan Says:

Why wait until his suspension is almost up to sue. Why hasn’t she sued him in the past 2 1/2 years. Just suspicious timing is all I’m wondering.

  68. Big Stinky Says:

    @Lamarcus

You’re the one that thought the BUCS wouldn’t win. I am sure the team thought they would win. You don’t make any sense Brother!

  69. Fartman Says:

Lamarcus – I wanted Fitz to fail to shut JW haters up but he shocked the world and he even shocked himself.
    ——————————————————————————————-
Wow… Even tho I’m tired of Jameis’s act, I’ve never wanted him or the Bucs to fail.

  70. Buc1987 Says:

“in reading her claims, it appears that he still doesn’t get it.”

He doesn’t get it from 2 and 1/2 years ago….?

I guess I need to read her “claims” huh?

We can do better huh? Never had a franchise QB in the history of this team…but we can do better….opinions are like….

  71. JabooBuc Says:

1987- yeah, you should read her claims. She talks about his attitude over the past 2 and 1/2 years smartass. That means present day.

Oh, and he’s only a possible franchise QB if he’s available. How’s that working out so far? Your right about opinions though. Even dopes like you have em.

  72. ArmyBucFanatic Says:

Please tell me that I’m not the only one who saw this lawsuit coming…shocked they didn’t either do it a month ago or wait until next week…from the moment she hired clune, this was the route they were headed…they probably contacted Winston’s folks prior to going public last year to try and get a settlement up front…ride Fitzmagic until the pixie dust runs out and from there I pray that Jameis balls out and puts this ish far, far behind like Big Ben and Peyton…

  73. Buc1987 Says:

    That’s fine FSU grad.

I can separate football and off the field private life. YOU can’t.

We’ll see if the Glazers, Koetter and just how many fans with daughters and such want Jameis out there on the field and in short order. SUED or not.

    Good grief!

    Jimminy Christmas!

Don’t go to games then…..don’t buy the gear….I don’t know what to tell ya!

  74. DB55 Says:

In the original buzzfeed article she claimed in a text that he grazed his fingers over her pants but today the claim is that he placed his fingers between her legs and pressed them firmly against her genitals, over her yoga pants.

Which is it did he graze her pants or the later?

  75. Buc1987 Says:

    Okay I’ll brb.

Smartasses take a little longer to read.

  76. BucNole Says:

Its 2 games. . . lets see how it shakes out after 8 games. .. . Im good with both of them as long as we are winning games GO BUCS

  77. webster Says:

I bet jaboobuc got one of those red hats though that became popular about 2 years ago but jameis cant be qb. Riiiiiiiggggggghhhhhtttt. Smdh.

  78. Lamarcus Says:

    Fartman

I was just joking when I said that about Fitz. I was just pissing off JW haters because I’m a JW apologist.

No you have to go back I had Fitz on my cut list. Along with djx. Trust me last year was my worst year as a Bucs fan man. Eat Ws said it all man. I went mental

  79. JabooBuc Says:

I can separate football from private. If i were the Glazers, Dirk, Licht and I was convinced I could trust this kid with their team and he was absolutely the best option then I roll with him.

But I don’t think any of that is true. I think they’ve already lost trust. So has the team. How could you not? Add that to the majority of fans that would rather have another option leading their team and you have a perfect storm for saying AMF.

  80. Fartman Says:

Agreed, Fitz should get 8 games minimum. If we have a winning record, give him the rest.

  81. SOEbuc Says:

She’s sueing Jameis for “not liking how honest he has been and the awareness of the situation.” Just decided to do this after 2 1/2 years ago with no police report. Good luck going against Jameis and Glazer’s attorneys on that one Kate P. (that’s a porn star name if I’ve ever heard one lol). Probably win and b!tch boy Rog will suspend him for another 3 games.

  82. Bird Says:

    1987

I saw you used my name earlier because I posted that some wanted Fitz to fail so Jameis can start again You thought I was way off base. Think even word moron was used.

Classic. So read yah boys above comments saying exactly that.
Dude. you look awesome man. You are right. Everyone loves your blind love.
    Tool

  83. Fartman Says:

    Lamarcus

I get it, dude. go bucs

  84. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

    Judge me,
    And I’ll judge you.
    Judge you,
    And I’ll judge thee.
    Judge and I’ll be judged.
In the end it’s not up to us to decide.
Go Bucs! Winston I still have your back!

  85. Mike in LOL Says:

Agree with BucNole, so long as we have a good season I don’t care who is at the helm. Just let me watch a Bucs playoff game again PLEASE!

I honestly think Ryan Griffin could even do ok with this offense, it’s that loaded at WR/TE. Griffin ought to at least do better than Trubisky and the Bears offense last night. That was atrocious. But their D is a terrifying unit. Whoever is playing week 4, please take some extra pain killers before the game, cuz I think they’re bound to maul us quite a bit, regardless of how stellar our O line play may be.

  86. Buc1987 Says:

“The woman did not file a report with police but had discussed it with her boyfriend. She did report the incident to Uber the next day. ” Per ESPN

    REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLY JabooBuc….REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEALLLYY?

    You do you! I guess!

  87. JabooBuc Says:

Sorry Webster, not on your level apparently. What are you referring to? I did support JW as the QB for this team from the time he was drafted. I had hoped that all the BS he pulled in college would not follow him hear, especially the creepy sexual predator stuff.

But I’m done with it. He lied to his team and the coaches/GM that took a pretty big risk making him the #1 pick in the draft. Sorry, that’s unforgivable to me. The great news is that they have demonstrated they can win without him which we should all be happy about.

  88. Buc1987 Says:

Bird..good job….you’ve found ONE…..Lamarcus wanted Fitz to fail this ….PAST!!!…summer. Not now.

    Your point is?

  89. Buc1987 Says:

    Reading comprehension problems!

  90. JabooBuc Says:

“She is unimpressed by his continued lack of honesty or awareness into his behavior,” Kate P.’s attorney, John Clune said Tuesday. “Maybe a more direct financial penalty will get his attention. He needs to learn from this and have some genuine insight or pay the penalty.”

We all know he lied to cover it up which happened THIS YEAR. He tried to conspire with his buddies to cover it up THIS YEAR.

    You, sir, are a moron

So stupid it needs to be reposted…

  92. Buc1987 Says:

    Jaboo…what’s she suing him for?

    How much money?

Wait this moron right here knows…..you won’t post it though… I wil

    $75,000

Seventy five thousand dollars. What a direct financial penalty….

    I don’t think he touched her….you do.

    Moron.

  93. Buc1987 Says:

Let’s keep going shall we FSU grad….keep going knowing the Glazers saw this coming and all….

“She is seeking damages in excess of $75,000 because of the “damages in the nature of emotional distress and future therapy expenses.” Per ESPN

  94. Buc1987 Says:

    Bird…. you….have ……serious…..reading comprehension issues.

There I typed it out slowly for you…..I hope that helped.

  95. Fartman Says:

Seems to me he’s pretty much admitted it.

  96. Greg Says:

so the local times. Bleacher report. And pro football talk or all reporting that the Uber driver is suing Jameis Winston for groping her and nothing on this website whatsoever yet. And the NFL as a quarterback you don’t get to write out two checks to two girls for groping them and still call yourself a starter. When is Joe going to be a man and stop referring to him as Americans quarterback?

  97. 1sparkybuc Says:

Jameis isn’t going anywhere. The woman made no police report, and NOW she files a lawsuit? That’s awfully suspicious. It could be Jameis is the victim of an unscrupulous and opportunistic female looking to take advantage of a young, drunk, and wealthy black man. She was not injured in any way, shape, or form, by her own admission. What’s the basis for her suit? My guess would be greed.

  98. Lamarcus Says:

    Jaboobuc

He not even getting sued for that. He is getting sued for not having the level of remorse “they” wanted and most obvious damages allegedly.

  99. Buc1987 Says:

Greg…Jameis never wrote a check out to Kinsman…read gilhealy above….

  100. JabooBuc Says:

Yeah, you’re a moron. You are choosing to back the story of the guy that has already been confirmed as having lied about it. Oh, and the money is not the point. The point is that he’s an untrustworthy dope that lied to his team, coaches, owners and fans.

But you keep riding that horse.

  101. Bird Says:

    1987

Nah. You win man. You are amazing bro. Great posts thanks for slowing down for me

You are a damn child. 20 ? Still living in mommies basement

You must be about as fun to hangout out with as having dhiarrhea

    I mean what a douche

  102. Buc1987 Says:

Lamarcus…JabooBuc has had enough with him anyways and is an FSU grad no less.

So your opinion really means …..well….

  103. Buc1987 Says:

JabooBuc…there’s others coming after you besides me…….making good points…so why me?

    Example :

    1sparkybuc Says:

“Jameis isn’t going anywhere. The woman made no police report, and NOW she files a lawsuit? That’s awfully suspicious. It could be Jameis is the victim of an unscrupulous and opportunistic female looking to take advantage of a young, drunk, and wealthy black man. Are they a moron too?

Did I call you a name or something?

  104. Fartman Says:

Uh… come on. Fake news. Every one know he settled.

  105. Jp_09 Says:

Ha hahahahahah this country is a joke, apparently America is now a country where you’re guilty until proven guilty. This was almost 3 years ago and now she wants monetary compensation lol, hang the c*nt

  106. JabooBuc Says:

1sparky- umm, you don’t need a police report to file a civil suit. You should really checkout this whole METOO movement going on. Its all the rage and all the cool kids are doing it.

All she needs to do is show that he did it which his boys have basically run from his alibi and that she was distressed by it. They will use his lies and attempts to cover it up as proof as him being a scumbag plus all the prior FSU stuff and she will be awarded the cash. However, we all know his will never see court so…

  107. Jp_09 Says:

^^ of course I meant after she’s found guilty of false accusations

  108. Buchead5588 Says:

I believe it was Dirk who said starters don’t lose there spots due to injury I would assume Suspension Jameis should be starter after Bye no matter what

  109. Buc1987 Says:

    I don’t care.

    🙂

  110. Mr World Says:

    SHUT UP DJAX!! PLEASE!!!

  111. Greg Says:

He absolutely did write a check to Kingsman. She got one from Florida State and one directly from Jameis. It was reported on this very website

  112. JabooBuc Says:

87- see my answer to ol’ sparky. Lamarcus is wrong. And I’ll let you try and defend Jp_09.

  113. JabooBuc Says:

Greg is correct. He did write a check to Kinsman.

  114. Buc1987 Says:

Joe must be passed out or something they have to be all over this….perhaps saving for the morning….

  115. Blue-footed booby Says:

Boy, there sure is a lot of aggression stemming from the Winston defenders around here …

DB55, there’s zero chance in hell the Giants trade assets for a walking suspension that is Jameis Winston. They would much rather draft a young fresh zero off-field problem quarterback prospect next year or sign a veteran QB like Nick Foles or Teddy Bridgewater who they know would be clean off the field unlike the problem child that Joe keeps incorrectly calling as America’s QB. Oh and this applies to not only the Giants but every other NFL franchise as well.

  116. donuts Says:

Winston will start again this year and Fitz will be all class about it. Winston did settle with Kinsman and he will settle again with Uber woman. See pacer.gov non believers…lol Winston has grown from this and has probably found some much needed humility (see djax comments late today). I think Winston will play great in 2018; his preseason was an extension of the end of 2017. We may even say the “P” word again(post season), IF we can get this D in-tune and run the ball in 4Q. Two big IFs…..

Having 2 good QBs is a problem every NFL team does not mind having. I dont understand all the fan fighting but I know 2 guys at 1BUC who have no issue with it cuz its called being a PRO.

I think the Glazers have played this perfectly with the help of coach K.

  117. Buc1987 Says:

lol Do I have to defend JP9? He’s not Jameis….and I am Winston’s JBF defense lawyer as everyone knows.

I DO get his point though so I can take a stab at it…

You think he’s guilty in the court of public opinion…you’ve already skewered him for this. Regardless of lying to teammates and the team. That was known weeks and weeks ago. Her suing him to me has nothing to do with it all what was already known weeks ago and he’s been suspended as well. Nothing’s changed imo.

Is your last name Glazer? I hope not….pretty sure it’s not or he’d have been gone a 2 months ago.

Still don’t see how anything has changed. Jameis Winston will remain a Buc.

  118. TheShaz Says:

The media is making a mountain out of a Florida Fire Ant hill

IMHO Winston will start AFTER the bye week, the Chicago game is a short week. Give Jameis a extra week to get back in the groove.

Fitz has fulfilled his job superbly up to this point.

  119. Greg Says:

Thanks Jaboo and donuts, don’t get me wrong there’s a part of me that truly hopes Winston has grown up since this event happen now nearly 3 years ago. When I get aggravated about is the total lack of concern from a lot of the fans from this side towards any of the potential victims. Please excuse the women for not knowing how to play football or throw the ball far enough. Kings men basically got chased out of school for coming forward. The Uber driver had no idea who Winston was at the time which only adds to her credibility. She had his account closed and that was the end of it until TMs he got involved. Erica Kingsman‘s lawyer is the one that reached out to her and convinced her to Sue. Blame the lawyer if you want but not the driver. She’s a female trapped behind a steering wheel of a car while a 6 foot for 230 pound man grabs her. Let’s show some class and at least take knowledge it. not necessarily saying we should cut Winston but I don’t think he deserves the Americas quarterback cheesy ass nickname that Joe insist on putting on him.

  120. Buc1987 Says:

    Okay typo’s galore…I had a long day.

    Good night everyone.

Even you JabooBuc. I hope girls never play in the NFL so as players like Jameis never have the chance to grope them on the field.

Yes that’s who I am and I LOVE women? How about you? It’s rhetorical I’m going to bed…..

    Go Bucs!

  121. cmurda Says:

A Qb controversy? Yes please. More of it. With the way A Buc’s life has been going, I would have expected we would be in a pool taking bets on what game Koetter is canned. Instead, Koetter is coaching brilliantly, Monken is dominating as O Coordinator and Mike Smith. Well, 2 outta 3 ain’t bad.

  122. JabooBuc Says:

Well said Greg. It is alarming how many people are quick to dismiss this woman for calling out a man for being an ass just because he can throw a ball. Clearly we still have a long way to go.

As for the lawsuit, the only thing i suppose it changes is that it continues to be a distraction to this team and staff which further illustrates the problem with JW.

I do hope he grows up. My god this guy has been given so many chances.

  123. FreeTheSecretWeapon Says:

Love reading the comments on JBF… Really helps me keepy fingers on the pulse of our society!!!

Has anyone bothered to read the story that has driven this blog???

Bottom Line, IT DOSENT MATTER (wwe style) what you think… This team AND COMMUNITY Still has a good relationship with JW…

All you wanna be moral truthers carriy a little mother fing stick while screaming INJUSTICE… What about the guy who has a bullseye on his back???

Suck It (wwf style) JW is your starter week 6 OR SOONER…

Suck It real good… You will be wrong just like you where wrong about an 0-3 start…

Fitz is Magic but Jaboo is FANTASTIC… I will take a REAL QB over one who needs magic to suckceed in his career…

Dont get me wrong… Thank you Fits for baby sitting… But this is not your baby…

Chris in WA thinks that the only people who understand the criminal justice system are college graduates. You must feel so smart when posting on internet comment sections. How cute. My 14 year old knows the difference between a criminal case and a civil case, and, I know I’m not smart because I only have a high school diploma, but I’m pretty sure he hasn’t been to college yet. Let me know if I’m wrong, “smart guy”! LMAO!

  125. FreeTheSecretWeapon Says:

  127. BuccaneEric75 Says:

Serious question. Over my lifetime I have been grabbed in the crotch by at least 6 women that I didn’t give permission to do so. What should I do?

  128. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

I have a 7 month year old daughter that I love dearly. I also love all walks of life and I will still protect Jameis as much as anybody else until he is proven guilty because we are all family. Why? because he deserves love just like my daughter does. Why? Because he is human just like my daughter is. Why? Because justice is not our place to say. Respect what is right and leave what is gone. Go Bucs!

  129. Joe Says:

Serious question. Over my lifetime I have been grabbed in the crotch by at least 6 women that I didn’t give permission to do so. What should I do?

Contact attorney John Clune, clune@hbcboulder.com. Make sure it’s been a couple of years since you’be been violated. Seems his ability to shake down people is pretty polished.

  130. BuccaneEric75 Says:

Nice, Joe! Lol! For the record, what I said was true, I just don’t know any guy who would care.

  131. Greg Says:

way to deflect the issue to avoid the reality of the situation because you have a love affair with an average quarterback from Florida St.

    Insomnia sucks!

BuccaneEric75…exactly which is why at times us men have to push back these days. I have female co-workers and I discuss METOO all the time with them. Do it jokingly a lot too just to get my point across. Only I’m not joking….they laugh and then think hey wait a minute….

It must suck to be a young kid in the dating scene today. You deffo not want to try and grind on the dance floor with an unknown woman. Hell you might even say the wrong sexual remark and get a metoo talk to the hand. Yes even remarks are being subjected to the metoo BS. Again I feel bad for the young kids today. Should I make a play for sex on the first date or not? Not today you don’t kid…

None of this applies to JW and the incident of course. Just typing to myself at 4 in the morn.

  134. gilhealy Says:

Uh, again, Jameis never paid Kinsman a dime. FSU did for violating the Title 9 deal. Believe what you want. Those are the facts. Both cases, his counter and her initial, were dismissed. Now, carry on.

  135. JabooBuc Says:

Wow. Just so I’m clear Joe, you don’t have a problem with him grabbing her crotch inappropriately while she’s working but more the timing of the suit?

Again, forget the lawsuit though I think she should certainly follow thru, the facts are the reason it’s been two and a half years is because he lied about to the NFL, team and fans.

  136. Defense Rules Says:

@BuccaneEric75 … “Serious question. Over my lifetime I have been grabbed in the crotch by at least 6 women that I didn’t give permission to do so. What should I do?”

Joe’s got a great solution there Eric, but there’s another avenue you could take as long as the incidents are at least 30 years old. Start your own movement (you could call it MENTOO if you want), then offer to testify before Congress (don’t worry, basis for testifying doesn’t matter anymore; they’ve got nothing else to do apparently). Before you know it you’ll be a celebrity (Hint: you’d do a lot better if you have a background as an exotic dancer).

Just as an aside BTW, have you REALLY been keeping count all these years? Six? And are you SURE you didn’t give them permission? (Could end up being a “He said – She said” situation … you know how picky Congress can get).

  137. Rod Munch Says:

I had my crouch grabbed by some chicks at a bar, and worse by one chick who wanted me to be part of a threesome with her and her husband. No thanks. I was sexually harassed by women who would rub their breasts on me in order to try to get something from me and many times I had women flash their breasts and rear end at me. Oh and a couple of years ago at Holloween Horror Nights some random chick was “scared” and grabbed me by my waist and she keep riding her hands up and down my body. It was unwanted attention as my GF was right there and I was deeply embarrassed. What’s what worth, at least $50k right?

Finally, the big winner, I worked at a fast food place and a chick there who had the body of a swimsuit model and the face of half the guys on this board, she literally shoved her hand down the front of my pants and squeezed my pecker without me giving her permission or wanting the contact. She then told me about how she had intercourse with people in the freezer as she tried to suduce a young 18 year old me as she was in her late 20s. Who can I sue? Unlike the fake news #MeToo fraud trying to hold up the Supreme Court pick, in my case I know were it happened and I know what year it was, 1994. I’m willing to settle for 7-figures.

Now that I think about women are pigs.

  138. JabooBuc Says:

Gilhealy- how do you know he didn’t write her a check? The settlement was sealed. We do know that FSU paid $950k to settle. Thanks JW.

  139. Godeep66 Says:

Final nail in the clowns coffin

The woman said Winston, 24, groped her in the drive-thru of a Mexican restaurant in the Phoenix area in March 2016. The woman is seeking more than $75,000 in damages, according to court documents.

“She is unimpressed by his continued lack of honesty or awareness into his behavior,” John Clune, the woman’s attorney, told the paper. “Maybe a more direct financial penalty will get his attention. He needs to learn from this and have some genuine insight or pay the penalty.”

The suit comes as Winston approaches the final game of the suspension, and with the team off to a 2-0 start.

  140. Walter Seidel Says:

And almost the entire thread turns into bashing the crotchgrabber, or defending him. See? Time to move one from this turd.

  141. AlteredEgo Says:

Jameis better not fumble his pen…..

  142. Defense Rules Says:

Rod … Just a minor suggestion, shoot for more than $50K (that’s peanuts to lawyers like Clune, and they’ll end up taking most of it anyways). Ooh, and another minor suggestion, make it sound less like you’re bragging (sincerity counts, even after 24 years in your case). Must say though that the ‘young 18-year-old’ being attacked by a ‘late-20s’ cougar was a nice touch. Now, if that cougar was Diane Feinstein you might have something here and 7-figures might be in-reach. I still say don’t settle for any of these local courts though … testify before Congress.

  143. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

Hmm that doesn’t sound suspicious to you at all that this comes before Winston comes back from his suspension and the Bucs are 2-0 with a journeyman backup playing lights out right now? What other player just got dumped for a 5th round pick only to end up you know where? I would not be surprised if this whole thing was set up to induce the Bucs into making an irrational move in dumping Jameis so a certain team can grab our franchise QB. In fact if I was the Bucs I’m sure that said team is currently trying to make a deal with the Bucs and that team I would investigate for connection to this case. Or this could be a way for teams trying to derail our great start. Don’t fall for it Bucs fans and Bucs organization. We have our future QB and he ain’t going anywhere as well as our current rockstar one! Go Bucs! Just keep winning!

  144. Bucsfanman Says:

Did anyone really think that this was over? C’mon man!
$75,000 is peanuts. This is not extortion. What it is, I don’t know. But getting all bent out of shape as some of you have done ALL NIGHT it looks like, is wasting time. It changes nothing other than Jameis possibly having to cut a check, end of story.
If it were a NEW accuser or accusation, then by all means get riled up.
    THIS CHANGES NOTHING!

  145. Im tired and 87 is right Says:

Phew thanks for clarifying that for me Bucsfanman!

  146. Crabberbill Says:

I think Winston is a great QB but I also love the MAGIC !! I’d hate to loose Winston but I think Griff is a great QB too !! We have to go with Fitz with the hot hand until he comes back down to earth. To bad we couldn’t have traded Winston for K Mac before Chicago got him. We know how much Gruden loves QB’S. lol

  147. Rod Munch Says:

Defense Rules – I was just thinking of how often I’ve been a victim and I didn’t even realize it. I was thinking of it based on the guy saying someone grabbed his crouch. When I think back I realize that it’s happened a lot to me. Those were just the stories of physical contact, at that fast food place I was a manager, at just 18 years old, and also had at least one woman come into the place and offer to do things in exchange for food – and she wasn’t starving. I need to sue everyone, it sure beats working for a living.

  148. BuccaneEric75 Says:

Defense Rules, lol! No, I didn’t keep count, which is why I said “at least” 6.
