Relive The (Fitz)Magic

September 17th, 2018

Burns the champs.

Can’t concentrate at work while still a bit weary from all the beers you chugged in the kiln yesterday known as the Den of Depression?

Well, Joe is here to help you kill time on the job. Feel free to watch this over and over. In the ESPN video below are all four of Ryan Fitzpatrick’s touchdown passes.

Joe especially likes how long-time voice of the Eagles, Merrill Reese, talks up Bucs receiver Chris Godwin.

Howard owes Godwin dinner for that TD. both ballers!

and Howard learned not to showboat with ball before scoring. he could have lost that one.

a lot of lessons learned yesterday. i.e. little mistakes

but the team came together to win as a team. a thing of beauty.

  2. AlteredEgo Says:

    Sweet~~~~~~

  3. AlteredEgo Says:

I have a hunch RoJo will play on MNF….another dimension for the running game…

  4. PewterPower Says:

Yes, it’s time to get Rojo into some real NFL games and give him a shot.

  5. NJBucsFan Says:

    Den of Excitement

  6. Tampabaybucfan Says:

After watching yesterday’s game, I withdraw my calls for Myron Lewis & Kenyatta Walker to return…& ASJ can stay away…

  7. Pryda... sec147 Says:

I hope VV plays this week same for Spence and Rojo !!! Most important Grimes !!!!

  8. PSLBob Says:

Phenomenal game! It’s great fun to be a BUCs fan for a change.

Re ROHO – is he still a BUC?

  9. PSLBob Says:

    ROJO, sorry!

  10. D-Rome Says:

I thought OJ Howard was going to have that ball punched out. He didn’t have that ball very secure heading into the end zone.

  11. Alphabucfan Says:

With all the losing an shananigns that has gone on these past 10 years or so makes theses wins soooo much sweeter. #GoBucs

  12. ATLBuc Says:

There has been a lot of complaints about hot the defense played bad and almost gave up a lead again, etc. but the main thing to take away from these past two weeks is that we found a way to win. Yesterday we beat the super bowl champion without 3 starters on defense, and with 3 rookies and 2 second year guys on D. That ROCKS!!!!!

  13. Resurrection of Fitz Says:

And we are still getting our feet wet.

    Let them keep coming!

Here we gooo…..the bad Bucs are coming!!!!!! Here we gooooo!!!!!

Oh yes….. I am nodding my head!!!!!!

Vea, Grimes and Beckwith will solidify our team straight to the playoffs!!!!!

  14. Casual Observer Says:

The CB and S group was composed of lots of rarely used guys; not used to playing together. But they did pretty well. That “practice” and the return of Grimes (one of these days) bodes well for this pass D.

  15. PewterPower Says:

What’s the timeline for Beckwith to return?

  16. Joe Says:

I thought OJ Howard was going to have that ball punched out.

    Damn near Leon Lett revisited.

  17. Lord Cornelius Says:

“OMG why did we draft Howard when we have Brate?!?!?!”

    lol.

    GO BUCS!!!

  18. Joe Says:

What’s the timeline for Beckwith to return?

When he’s healthy. Bucs don’t have a countdown clock on it. Don’t recall seeing him since season started but haven’t been looking for him either.

  19. ATLBuc Says:

Resurrection don’t forget about Vernon. So really, that’s four starters down

  20. BigPoppaBuc Says:

Fitz isn’t even holding the laces in that pic… It really is magic.

  21. GhostofSchiano Says:

    Den of Fitzmagic

  22. unbelievable Says:

    LOL Lord Corn. Exactly.

  23. Defense Rules Says:

@Pryda … “I hope VV plays this week same for Spence and Rojo !!! Most important Grimes !!!!” IF all 4 came back next Monday night, that’d be 4 guys who played yesterday who couldn’t dress for the game next Monday. Which RB Pryda would you have not dress … Barber, Rodgers or Wilson … so that RoJo could be available? And which DE would you have sit out the next game so that Spence could dress? Same with Vea. Which DT sits out … GMC, Allen or Worthy … so that Vea can dress out on gameday? And what happens if Vea gets hurt again? Maybe move Spence into his DT rotation spot?

Kinda think these coaches know what’s going on with those guys better than we do. Among Vea, RoJo & Spence, the Bucs have one 1st rnd pick and two 2nd rnd picks tied up. They won’t give up on them prematurely, but they won’t dress them for the game if they don’t feel confident they have something to contribute either. Hopefully all three ultimately contribute big-time.

  24. AlteredEgo Says:

Gotta bring this up…. Fzzzzz’s old school thigh pads

  25. SOEbuc Says:

Don’t give a f#ck about RoJo right now. Shaun Wilson has been getting very good yardage and finding holes on the minimal carries he’s gotten. This O-line is on fire right now. Start given’ him the rock more.

  26. Bucsfanman Says:

Spence and Rojo were “inactive”/healthy scratches. Guys the Bucs picked up off the street have outplayed them. Until they get their ‘ISH together, they can stay right there on the inactive list.

  27. OneLove Says:

I can’t concentrate Joseph!! I’m so happy for Ryan Fitzpatrick and his Fitzmagic!! I know it’s early, but the first 2 weeks have proved that we can play with anyone in the league. Great confidence booster for our team! Great time to be a Bucs fan!!

  28. NukifyouBuc Says:

When is VV returning? Still getting gashed on runs.

  29. Bob in Valrico Says:

That was a nifty move by Howard to split the defenders and go down the sideline.
I was also worried he slowed a couple of steps too soon.

  30. Resurrection of Fitz Says:

    VH3 out for the season?

  31. gambelero Says:

My alma mater has the worst team they’ve had in 40 years. I’m definitely stoked about the Bucs.

I thought the defense was very good. Two eight second touchdown drives, two turnovers by the offense in our territory (or close) skews the defensive stats for total yards and points. An inch perfect pass on that last fourth down or we’re feting (present continuous of fete) the defense as much as the offense.

And obviously, I’m having trouble concentrating at work.

  32. Blind Melon Says:

It’s two games. I’m as excited as anyone, probably more… and predicated this team would surprise everyone this season.

That said, it does not wipe away the last decade + … yet. 🙂 Feeling good.

  33. Blind Melon Says:

    ^^^ *predicted.

  34. Kevinator24 Says:

    @Resurrection

Yes he is on IR, done for the year.

  35. Joe Says:

    When is VV returning?

Anyone’s guess. Koetter said he was “close.” Of course, Koetter didn’t define “close.”

Dude cannot be close to gameshape. He hasn’t practiced since July.

  36. SOEbuc Says:

Feel like we’re going to see Brate get some completions if he can be at the right place at the right time but that’s up to Magic. Does he have more than two completions in the first two games?? Very strange.

  37. 813bucboi Says:

if it aint broke don’t fix it…..davis played well….r.smith played well…..Clarke and nassib have been playing well…..gholston at DT is playing well…..#53(taylor i think) has been playing well in place of beckwith……

grimes, Winston, VV, rojo are all in the same boat imo….ride whoever we have replacing them until the wheels fall off…..

i would like to see Wilson get more carries…..

    #TUNNELVISION!!!!!…GO BUCS!!!!

  38. SKBucsFan Says:

    @SOE
I agree I wish Brate would be more involved too, but that’s because Fitz has too many weapons to use. (Well that , and he has an accurate arm.) Not a bad problem to have. They have spread out the plays nicely so far. It’s amazing what an offensive coordinator can do when he is given the personnel and ability to manage the ball. Koetter should be the front runner for MVP this year. His His hand-off of play calling is the best play yet!

  39. Jmarkbuc Says:

    WR’s Coach

Skylar Fulton…Looks like he’s 14. Apparently doing a great job. These guys are running great routes and fundamentally pretty sound..cough, cough ME. I remember thinking yesterday when he fumbled, so That’s why he shouldn’t get YAC.. I love him and his effort though. Godwins blocking? GTFOH.

    Unless it’s all Bajakian/Monken.

Would love to be fly on the wall in this WR Room.

    —————————————————————————–

My understanding was that Beckwith was placed on some type of “non football related PUP” designation – that would allow his return after 6 weeks but not before.

  41. orlbucfan Says:

Can’t get over the fact that Chris Ungodly Godwin was a 3rd round pick. RUFKM?? Oh well, there are always diamonds in the rough in the later rounds. Tom Brady, for instance. Jags took care of him yesterday, yuk-yuk-yuk!

  42. donuts Says:

I think Vea and Winston are on the same return to action schedule….week 6.

  43. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

One word for it……. BEE YOU TEE FULL!!!! Did you hear the Iggles announcer call him Fitzmagic? So sweet! I wonder how much domestic violence, random attacks and property damage went up in Philly? 😁😂🤣😂🤣 Though I support Jameis and look forward to him having games like these with Monk, Fitz is the man at the moment and if he’s the right one for the job right now then I cheer him on unlike the losers who hope for Winstons downfall because they’re a bunch of butt hurt sea cows. If we beat the Steelers the nation will have to take the Bucs serious from now on!

  44. DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:

Hey NukifyouBuc did you get that name from a hip hop song? It’s one of my favorite hard hitting raps from back in the day! Ingenious I like how you used that!

  45. Mord Says:

    HAHAHA!! @ “Kiln”.

Accurate. It was just brutally hot!
