DJax In Eagles’ Heads

September 16th, 2018

What’s up his sleeve?

As Jerry Glanville once asked, “Are you frightened? Are you scared?”

It seems Eagles defensive backs are.

Per NFL Network’s Jameis Palmer, the Bucs receivers get respect from the Eagles. But after watching the Bucs rip apart the Saints last week through the air, the Eagles are downright scared of DeSean Jackson.

There are two ways to look at this. One is, speed kills. Let them focus on Jackson.

Then, let Mike Evans and Chris Godwin run wild on them. Or even stretch the field to throw underneath to O.J. Howard or Adam Humphries or Cam Brate.

Joe is happy to learn the Eagles have lost sleep of Jackson.

This is a Godwin and Howard/Brate game

  2. Jp_09 Says:

We have to many options!!! As long as the o-line can continue to protect our offense will be good. Bucs 27-17!!!!

  3. Steven007 Says:

He’s in their heads? He needs to be in their end zone.

  4. webster Says:

But the bucs should trade djax. He is a waste signing. Thats what the armchair gms where saying all offseason lol

  5. Realbucfan941 Says:

And that is why 90% of the comment section is garbage. Trade Desean… Ok. Last year they were saying he can’t get open anymore, lost a step. Where are you idiots now?

  6. PSLBob Says:

Joe, do you know if ROJO is active for today’s game?

  7. Gofortheface30 Says:

    Webster/realbucfan- Spot on.

  8. SchwiftyBuc Says:

They’re getting torn up then. The next gen stats Charting average/top speed showed that Mike Evans was consistently just as fast and in some areas faster than Djax was last season. For a big dude he has some serious wheels.

  9. NJBucsFan Says:

@realbucfan many members of this fan base are stuck in the 80’s and 90’s when you could only have one star player at each position. Having two or more makes their head hurts. That’s why you also heard talk of trading Brate or Howard.

  10. D the Bucs fan Says:

Rojo and Noah Spence inactive today

  11. Harry in Costa Rica Says:

Yes, ME and CG can take advantage of the Eagles concentration on DJax.

BUT, if they are worried about getting burned deep, throw a few completions to DJax underneath, THEN have DJax put a double move and go for the big one!!! That will freak them out!!!!!!!!!!! (the excessive exclamation points are in honor of Realist!!!!!!!!)

  12. Realbucfan941 Says:

    Nj buc,

Very true. How about that 75 yard td to start the game. Over the years I’ve just noticed some real uninformed fans that like to parrot other posters. I think they are incapable of free thought, or lack the football knowledge. Either way it’s fun to shut them up

  13. PSLBob Says:

And he should be. First play of the game – Fitz to DJax for a TD!!!!!! Are you kidding me?
