Perfection!

August 19th, 2018

“Pick your head up Glazer and look at that sweetness. You like that?”

Preseason football is all about forging team habits and trends and standout individual performances — good and bad.

Last night’s beating of the Titans was very much about a real hope that a heinous aspect of recent Bucs football is in the rear view mirror.

New big-money kicker Chandler Catanzaro was a perfect 3-for-3 on field goals, and that’s 4-for-4 if you count the 39-yarder nullified by Caleb Benenoch’s illegal procedure call. The follow up to that was good from 44 yards and later Catanzaro nailed a 48-yarder.

He was perfect on extra points, too, and Joe has forgotten about last week’s shaky debut.

Dirk Koetter noted after the game that Catanzaro isn’t surprising anyone, merely doing what he does in practice.

Joe is a buying in. Joe’s optimistic that Catanzaro will be solid and make kicking boring again. The alternative is unthinkable.

Passing game will be fine…need to focus on the running game now in game 3

    Pound the rock. 2.0 version

I like me some Catanzaro! He stuck his nose in there and made a tackle! But most importantly made all his kicks. He stands eye to eye with Mike Evans. Whats not to like?

Prolly added about 2 more wins with a solid kicker!

    Go Bucs!

I think we were all relieved to see our QB’s play as we expect. Fitz played like a reliable backup and Jameis played like Jameis…I feel good about the QB position.

But no doubt…the most impressive part of last night was Cantanazo’s perfection.

I agree with 87 that could mean a couple more wins this season.

IMO I think Jones should start behind the 1st team OL against the Lions & see what he does, before kicking him to the curb.

Griffin is turning into a good back up to Jameis

The Bucs haven’t been to the playoffs in a decade (longest streak in the NFC), can’t win at home, had the worst defense in the NFL last year, were 5-11 last year, has their franchise QB starting the season on a suspension and haven’t had anyone get 10 sacks in a season in over a decade.

But yeah, let’s ignore all of this and copy Buccaneers.com and write stories as if this franchise is New England South. smh

how can anything be written positive when your favorite team owns the worst winning percentage in pro sports and consistently embarrasses itself on and off the field year in and year out. it’s one thing to be optimistic but living in denial is laughable and for the mentally weak afraid of reality.

it’s just not the players choke and are failures year in and year out. in all phases ownership, organizational leadership, front office, coaching, and players all find ways to embarrass the game of football on and off the field for nearly two decades.

it’s time for them to EARN IT ON THE FIELD…. Not a single player on bucs roster should receive a free pass for anything. NOT a single player on this roster has ever ACCOMPLISHED A DAMN THING in a Buccaneer uniform.

Shut up and win…. Is the most optimistic statment a buc fan can make given the results, history and most like the future failures.
